SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

In those times desync was present all the time so we adjusted our playstyle to it. Lockstep broadened build diversity but one could argue that its impact was bigger on SC as it made glasscannons more viable. The crashes got worse at some point, it's harder to accept because we are not used to them.

That being said I dunno if they are the cause for players quitting. I just listed other possible causes, I'm not saying they are more likely because we don't have the data. You see the lab as the main reason but don't forget that your view might be skewed by your own dislike for it.

Understatement of the year goes to the underlined text. Refusal to acknowledge other key factors in the change in % of hardcore\softcore player percentage is 100% his distaste of the lab, I can promise you that this league will see a higher % of hardcore players then last leagues, when that is the case @turtle, can you come apologize for not acknowledging reason?

What makes you think that?

Spoiler
I would guess that with 30+ new maps, new bosses (with unknown mechanics), strong T16 bosses and shaper, many players would start with trying them out in sc instead.

A bit off-topic, but I've been wondering the same thing.

Spoiler

I'm pretty sure the lab impacted HC numbers -- it was the first content ever where I felt the need to try it out in SC first (and I lost three HC characters to abomination piety before learning that fight). The new end-game content (which I won't reach) like the shaper, the guardians of the void (and possibly down to some of the maps) strikes me as a one-way ticket to SC for all but the .1%.

Maybe they will try them in standard, at least the harder ones with various money they have, but this is mainly HC streamers and stuff, not the average joe.

As always you can not be the first and watch videos on it to learn about the fights. An experienced player should know how to interpret the fight against their build.

I don't doubt it had an impact, but its impact is far less then scenarios that were in place before the lab.

Things like HC\SC streamers that alternate leagues, ZiggyD, ect are playing on HC this league, because they played in SC last league. People follow like sheeps, this will play a huge impact on the %.

Those endgame bosses aren't required to play in HC, I guess if you want all of the challenges I guess so, otherwise you can just play like you usually would.

No mention of lab in patch notes. Not acceptable. The crusade must go on
Agreed. We must be noticed!

The 1\2 dozen of you guys posting on alt accounts aren't doing yourselves any favors. You are just spamming the forums at this point with nothing more to add. I suggest you take a break for a little bit, given its at least 3 months before you will see any changes, maybe come back in 2 months and see how various things are.

Like the hardcore % of population and look at your precious steam charts.

Until then, you already noticed no changes in 2.4 patch notes. How about lets let some actual feedback regarding the changes listed in 2.4 be on the first page, given its far more likely to get addressed and far more important to be read then some low effort spam to bump topics?

Thanks for your typical trolling and character assassination, but you're just a normal nobody like the rest of us. If you don't like it, don't read it.

Things that would be obvious to the more studious:

This is my only account
There's no way you can know how much I've donated. (It was A LOT)
There's no way you can know how long I've been with PoE (Many years)

Yep, you're just a nobody like me. No one player is more important than another. Forum titles mean squat.
