Actually, it recaptures the original point of the game, before GGG went and turned it into a mindless shmup with hardcore trading.

And since it's optional, it's not as if people who actually enjoy a mindless shmup with hardcore trading have to deal with it. They just can just...keep on mindless shmupping and hardcore trading. :)

Are you theory crafting builds or just following Build of the week?
Because basic Mathematics and brainstorming you should find when creating ORIGINAL builds.

To be honest im not all that invested in this game, its really good (fun), but this is stupid.

Will give it another patch i guess, if quick. Best of luck

And indeed, many of us have made that suggestion -- even I don't enjoy doing the same damn story 3 times in a row, dozens of times across a roster of characters. But that GGG haven't done something like that tells me there are factors we don't know making it impossible, or at least unfeasible.

But if you look at everything that's been added since beta, hasn't your 1-90 experience changed quite dramatically? Master missions, corrupted zones, strongboxes, rogue exiles, nemesis rares, bloodlines magical creatures...these are the sorts of changes you can expect GGG to make to the core game. Not some completely new stream. Even Ascendancies, if we're being completely honest, don't change anything other than what happens when you click that button. More damage, in most cases. They're a game-changer only if your idea of the game is decidedly character-development based.

At any rate, before too long, the Labyrinth will be mastered and it'll be no big deal to 'buy' Ascendancies. GGG can't really monitor or control that, not without disabling partying, and they'd never do that.

Yes. And that's sad. Maybe I have rose colored glasses on, but you never forgot that you were playing Forsaken Masters or SotVaal. At least not in the first 2-3 weeks. The second you allocate your 6th Ascendancy point, you will have forgotten that you're playing Ascendancy for the remainder of the league.

Unless you're gonna powerfarm the Lab (ugggggggh).

Agreed, and that's all I need. Invasion, Rogue Exiles, Forsaken Masters, and SotV delivered on that - the next experience with those mechanics was always potentially right around the corner, or in the next zone.

It's still different insofar as, if I were dead set on skipping Vaal content, I could buy Vaal Molten shell and not have to set foot in a Vaal side zone. In terms of the intricacies, I wouldn't mind any of those individual points from the OP independently, but the frustration is multiplicative, not additive. 'Improvements' to 2 or 3 of those would go a long way for me.

Maybe it's like this intentionally on release so that folks of your disposition and attitude can enjoy it, then 3 weeks in they nerf it for those on the other side.
