Labrynth = not fun
labs are the worst thing ever that came to poe UGH

Traps and careful walking auround with a mouse was not fun to me . the traps did way to much damage ( some of them ). low life and es was shitty in there .
If poe was a console game , yeah maybe not so bad . Me i am not going in there more than i absolutely have to and its not worth it to me . Too bad the reward is so great when the content to get it is so unfun . |

This topic has my full support. Perandus league is soo great but I just can't stand those traps, had to quit after loosing 2nd char on HC. Playing Prince of persia in action RPG game is meh, always hated this kind of games :(

I totally agree LAB = NO FUN
I dont mind doing it to get my ascendancy points (barely), but to run it hundreds of times just to have a chance on achievements is no fun at all. Make the lab shorter, higher level (more xp), loose the traps and make it so we dont have to start all over if it crashes/dc. POE is a greate game (or i wouldnt have over 6k hours in it :P) But the LAB is a step in the wrong direction. Its something i do because i have to, not because i want to (just like last part of act4) I was dreaming of a Winter themed a4, please make a winter/mountain themed act5 ;) -Zims- |

I like the lab a lot. I hope they will tweak it more and exploit its full potential.
I like the new hard to get helm enchant. Changes the economy a bit. I hope they will develop the enchant to make them useful i.e more desirable. 4 keys runs (Argus and set up 2 hard fights for the end) are profitable to me. They could make an optional section with longer, harder traps for more better loot, 2 chance at helm enchant, anything. You can do map, you can do the lab, more things to do. If you do not like it, do not farm it, just do it 3 times to get your 6 points. After a while it becomes so easy...I think im at 120+ runs. Have a nice day. " Labyrinth is optional from the point of view that GGG has not yet beefed up or nerfed items/content to compensate for ascendancy points, YET. GGG has stated their intention to eventually do that. But not even considering that, saying that ascendancy points is optional is only true when taking a very myopic view. If one is doing character development planning or trying to set long range goals, ascendancy points are part of the mainline character development and is not optional from that point of view. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I agree. It's tedious, relatively uninteresting and poorly balanced. Traps are just a matter of pot'ing through them - why even HAVE them if they're going to be so trivial and only serve as a build check on builds that can't pot? Izaro and Argus are so overtuned compared to the trash that either the trash (and every bit of loot you find in there) is a complete waste of time you just run past, or Izaro/Argus are effectively +10 or more levels. (I actually do dailies at +5-10 pretty often... but there, since it's area level, I actually get loot accordingly.) Either the lab area level needs to go up so drops aren't as garbage or the "bosses" need to be tuned down, much further, especially in normal. I can't even comprehend people bothering with Argus because he's such a complete waste of time with no reward at all - what good are some underleveled vendor trash and a treasure key that yields... more vendor trash? Izaro is also extremely random in difficulty based on which supports he rolls, and the # of gold doors varying makes labyrinth randomly far MORE annoying than it would otherwise be. What's the point of having treasure keys and silver key hordes and so forth when you'll practically never get anything worth using out of them? Why have gold doors if the number is going to vary? Some of the Izaro mods also look extremely unreasonably melee-unfriendly, too.
The whole thing is so hopelessly mistuned it's utterly unfun compared to pretty much the entire rest of the game. Feels like alpha-test content, if even that. The devs need to go back to the drawing board and play through it with some low-life melees, non-Zealot ES builds, etc, and also tune to the expectation a significant portion of loot found, especially from "treasure" boxes, will actually not be vendor trash. All I get from a typical lab run, itemwise, besides the enchant, are generally alt/trans shards, maybe some chromes and alc shards if I'm lucky. And the enchant is usually garbage thanks to RNG as well. Game balance is non-existent in the lab. It stands out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the game. People who don't like the Labyrinth are not a minority: Be heard - say you don't like it in your signature. Don't leave complaining about lab to others - GGG needs to see how many people dislike it. Ascendancy must be gated on true ARPG content, not a poorly-crafted internet Legend of Zelda wannabe.
