There are games that has complexity for complexity sake, and I do not like that. I love poe because the complexity lies in the combinations of simple concepts.

Makes me think of a saying i heard somewhere(paraphrased) :

if you really want to maximize ascendant you have to play a build which would be on the polar opposite or in the path which it'll probably never be able to get to normally.

Path of Scion
All I will say for now is that it sounds interesting, very interesting.

I expected something jack-of-all-tradish, but this still leaves me with my mouth open. I'm really looking forward to Ascendancy, wishing GGG as well as the community that everything's properly balanced in the first place.

As a sidenote: I hate (and appreciate at the same time ofc) that you can't even have a week off without missing tons of important news
Well, its actually what i expected in general, but not in details

first of all, the idea of additional start point is really nice
seriously
however, it seems to be really usefull not for every build

so the another option there is to take additional subclass nodes, two from different classes, or three from the same one
and at this point it doesn't look very nice for me
you called this class "one to bring them all together", but in fact there are too many interesting features left outboard and those features we have, look kinda pale compared to their orogins

of course specialists definitely must be stronger in their disciplines than universal-like ones, but in this case im just unsure if scion class isnt just turned out too weak

in addition, i can't understand why did you box a whole classes in a single nodes, leaving the space for the pitiful stats...
really, these +10 to str/ag/int are definitely not the kind of thing that i'd expect from something like Ascendance Class

yea, its just my opinion, and it could be wrong (i hope so), but this is the way i see it for now
IMO Scion talents are wery bad and not a creative idea at all, no one will play it
