RIP to offline tree planner :)

I'm also curious to see how long it takes to add the neccessary "second starting point" feature - I doubt that its impossible ^^

Nice, so wheres the catch? Is the game going to be twice as hard, 1 shit deaths at every corner?

If you have looked at other Ascendancy classes you would already know what the catch is.

Scion is only a shadow of the strength of the true classes, but offers greater flexibility. i.e. she can't match a true class on their strengths but can better balance out weaknesses, or if you want to pull off some build that requires keystones all over the place, she's the way to go.

I certainly wouldn't give up my class for Scion, but I can see some options open that weren't previously, possibly depending on the new passive tree layout where I had to sacrifice too many "pathway" nodes to reach the needed area's.

tldr; power vs flexibility.

scion not OP, its will be OP if she can grap full strength points like 40more damage from Berserker + 15 multi and 0.5 base crit chance from Assassin, or something like that, but she can't, so fuck her.

this is dumb and has ruined it for me, EVERYONE is gonna be scion now

Idk about scion being weak.

I was planning a berserker crit sword Reave character to get the 100% leech whenever I actually get hit for a decent ammount. This would allow me to go abyssus and not give a shit because I'd be hitting so fast and instant leeching to max HP (with vaal pact), that it wouldnt even matter how much they hit me for as long as I don't get 1 shot, which I wouldn't get (Doesn't matter if you disagree, just explaining my plan here).

The problem with this is that the assassin is so brokenly overpowered with the power charge and crit multi and all that stuff that I was finding it hard to even decide if it was worth the trouble of going berserker: Very likely I could get as much dps from assassin as from the whole abyssus combo, WITHOUT the need of running abyssus (and thus being tankier), and I'd still have enough leech to out-leech most damage scenarios, because the damage would still be very good.

Can you see how scion might be the best choice here??

Get berserker -> now we have a shit ton of leech anyway, I dont need 100%, 10% would already be MORE than enough.

Get assassin -> We still get the crit, maybe at a lower value, but we still get it.

AND on top of that I get some 40 INT from the minor ascendancy perk from shadow AND I get a possibly better pathing through the tree, but never worse.

Of course it will all come down to how much of each class they give the scion, but if I can think of a reason to go scion this easily, I'm pretty sure she's not underpowered.

I'm more annoyed with how the Life "Wheel" of the Scion is a Hammer while the Evasion and Energy Shield are Hourglass ones.

I'd like to add, current Ranger and Shadow starting zones, as well as life/mana leech Duelist wheel (i.e. most of the 2.1.0 changes) seem as total shit.
This is so sick! I expecting some kind of mix or ability to go to other classes but this... This is done the best way, actually fitting Scion flavor really well. Well done!
