Clayshaper is a level 41 weapon that allows you to summon a level 56 SG, which is obviously way stronger than any other golem for over 10 levels.
And yes, SG is nice, and probably also possible to build around, but I can't imagine that the barrage of the FG, coupled with all the nice curses for it are less effective than the SG. And also it is the good old range vs. melee situation. FG kills before SG even reaches its target.
But hey, it is worth trying hard to build around it, especially if you prefer a certain feeling associated with your playstyle over clearspeed.

Oh, and DreamScythe, why AM in the Coh setup? Isn't it way better for the Power Charge uptime to have AM on blasphemy?
Coh quali vs. +2 gemlevels should not really be a reason.
Or do you just like to have low enemy resis before applying EE, because it is more efficient vs. resi mobs?
I can only "play" this build right now in theory, sorry, so I can't test anything myself. I'm flat out with real life, but still like to think and theorize about the build.
