Who Are We? Where do we come from?
GGG Logic

1) Create new skill gem that is overpowered.
2) Hear people whining about it for the next league.
3) Nerf it to the ground and make sure noone will ever use it again.
4) Repeat

Traps, traps, traps...

What about mines? There is only one usable mine skill (fire nova), no unique related to mines (tremor rod is like Veil of the Night for mine build, absolutely useless), there are no support gems for mines (except detonate mines, meh), only one exclusive mine cluster (every other is trap/mine), no vaal mine skill, mines mechanic haven't been changed since well ever.

Mines are kinda there but nobody touches them.

maybe it is time to stop the charade and call things what they are:

trap -> grenade (and add projectile scaling)
mine -> trap (and make them usable, starting from reverting this 'place at the cursor' Qo(LOL))

you can also remove freeze mine from the game
