The last thing players need is more damage creep. I have a fondness for trappers and ice trap is a much-needed replacement for ye olde arctic breath traps, but cluster trap is going to get silly. You removed shotgunning from spells (where you remembered to) but now you're going all-in on trap shotgunning. It's LMP/GMP all over again because you didn't learn your lesson.
I haven't played a trapper in years. It'll be fun to play one again!
Looks pretty. thank god it has a cooldown can you imagine being able to spam cast 4 of those per second?

Multiple traps will add extra traps to the Cluster Trap, meaning you'll throw 7 traps total in the cluster trap random radius.

We're still looking at Multiple Traps, and will improve the behaviour if we can!


You know what would be really useful Rory?
If Multiple Traps would also add to your stock of traps as well as allowing you to throw more.
Meaning, instead of your base of three trap charges, you can gain up to 5 charges, each which can throw however many traps as it's support's allow.

It's been my main pet peeve with traps since forever, is that I keep running out of them. Meaning I feel I always have to use several different types of traps just so that I don't keep running out of ammo, esp vs bosses.

So perhaps Cluster Traps is a better option for raw number of traps thrown be usage, where Multiple Traps both increases traps thrown by a small amount and the total stock of traps you have at your disposal.


Otherwise it looks like you have two support gems that basically do the same job.
The skill look great, but few problems with it:

1)Dont call something trap, when you just spam it directly on mobs like grenades or regular spells. Traps as the name says, should be placed before battle or during battle in some enviromental spots in order to surprise enemy (so not on enemy). Thus requiring luring skills, but having insane results.

2)Like someone else wrote, remove shotguning in previous patches to add it to traps. Logic?

Holy Molly! Guacamole!

Ice Trap looks beautiful, and Cluster Trap adds so many different possible setups!
Kongming's Stratagem will become quite viable, too... I am loving it.
so... lets see... a trap skill+multiple traps+cluster trap+increased area of effect+added chaos damage+elemental proliferation... throw one trap, clear an entire map. GG, GGG.
rip cold snap traps (anyway this skill looks very similar to it ;D ) i hope for more trap skills but yes that trap shotgunning is worrying me a little
