Mathil's Voltaxic Crit LA/Blast Rain - Cruise control the entire game. Uber Atziri Viable 2.2 ready

Speccing into master of the arena, golem's blood and heart of the oak almost nullifies the blood rage degen if you have acuity. Blood rage is also a great DPS buff (20% "free" attack speed is very good).

Obviously to fully enjoy acuity you have to be crit capped or so. And it's very easy to be critcapped while mapping (power charges and assassin's mark help a lot).

A lot of improvements can be done in your character.

1. You have Acrobatics. All armour based flasks / items suffer a 50% penalty with that keystone on. Replace Rumi's Concoction with a good rolled basalt flask.

On my Voltaxic Pathfinder I am currently using this flask setup:

It's very good for almost everything in the game. You'll need a bleed removal suffix btw, since you are a Deadeye.

2. Phase Acrobatics. In this patch it's very good to have even if it costs 4 additional passive points (which provide, btw, an overall gain of 10% dodge and 30% spell dodge). Think about it.

3. Evasion. You can get it a lot better if you use better boots / gloves and it's good when mapping. Arrow dancing is another option to consider, since it helps against reflect.

4. GMP. You are using Frost Wall so you want the maximum shotgun potential. There is no competition with LMP, especially because you are a Deadeye and the Endless Munitions node makes it easier to shotgun.

5. Blood Rage. It's too good to pass in a character which scales entirely on flat damage increases. 20% attack speed is huge. I now it feels uncomfortable with Vaal Pact, but it's still a good deal imho when you get used to it.

6. Fangs of the viper, with the "new" Voltaxic, is not necessary.

7. Force of Nature is a good and efficient talent to have. You get 40% WED and 6% elemental penetration for 3 points.

To get all those extra utilities, I'd sacrifice all the passives left to the jewel socket near to Vaal Pact. Not because they aren't good, but because they require 3 completely useless travel nodes (10 dex ones) to be taken.

Just wanted to say, fangs of the viper is still pretty good. 5% movespeed is awesome.
For try, for see, and for know.

Yes, the movement speed is very good, you are right. I unspecced FotV because - from a Pathfinder perspective - I hardly noticed 5% additional movement speed with my setup, but he is a Deadeye, so it's more important for him.
How would we handle Atziri after the Voltaxic nerf ?

Use BR ? Or is there another creative approach (like using Frost Wall without pierce to block the reflect clone).
Just don't aim at the reflect clone lol.
For try, for see, and for know.

So, if one would go for LA Voltaxic Pierce/Frost Wall via Shadow/Assassin:

a) what would be the ideal Skill Tree
b) which points within the Assassin to allocate
c) any other things to keep in mind comparing to Deadeye
Is this still 2.3 viable? Any changes?

Build is still fine. Noticeably weaker against Uber and some other bosses from the Conversion nerf.

Even with icewall/LA combo?

Yeah. Just because Atziri does resist elemental damage. Not sure what the % is on Uber, I imagine it to be somewhat high.

I know djnat (where are you man?) posted a tree here with Arcing Blows and Forces of Nature, probably will have to be the way to go to preserve the old level of damage. I chose not to go that route since I wanted to max out Crit Chance. Did a test run when I made the post earlier, deathless to Atziri (doesn't seem to change much tbh), but in the chamber died twice because I couldn't burst quickly enough as compared to 2.2. Hope that gives some insight.

/e Can't find Uber Atziri resistance values. Welp.

If i remember properly, it's 35 ele res and 25 chaos res.
For try, for see, and for know.

This is the tree I use on my Voltaxic Pathfinder.

Please note that, being a Pathfinder, I took some necessary nodes like Primal Spirit and Druidic Rite. If you don't love flasks like I do, those points can be spent elsewhere (Fangs of the Viper, Quickstep, even Cloth & Chain for some more Evasion or easier resistance capping).

Uber Atziri has 30% Lightning res and 15% Chaos res.
