[2.6] TankyTwirl - PhysSpell CoC Cyclone

since attack speed inst really needed anymore for coc could i multimod my vagan dagger with spell dmg-crit chance-spell crit or crit multi?

I did that last league allready. Even then it was on par, maybe a little bit worse but not by much.

The 2.3 Uber Kill in Prophecywas with a 1.2 APS Demon Dagger with Crit Mult.

Will adding a 3rd spell be better in 2.4? I mean, on top of blade fall and ek.
If my crit chance is already good enough, and I don't need increased crit strike.
Thanks.

There are 2 things about testing this:

1. I don´t think you canget high enough Crit Chance without the Gem, it may work with Diamond Flask but as we are no Pathfinder we can´t keep that Flask up during fights

2. The DPS gain or loss of a 3rd Spell under Diamond Flask is hard to test because most things die to quick with Bladefall alone.

As a result of these 2 things i don´t think its worth it to test because all the fights where you could test it would require a Diamond Flask up all time without the ICS Gem.

Feel free to test it though if you like.

Idea for testing: use low level spells to slow down killtime on Voll, then you can maybe use stopwatch to see what works better.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I'm still theory crafting, so I don't have a character to test.

But here are my thoughts -
I'm thinking that if I go with an Assassin instead of a Trickster, I can get my cyclone to 95% crit (with 7 power charges, passive tree, and a Vagan dagger with 8.3% base crit) without using the increased crit gem.

This would allow me to link a 3rd spell (in addition to bladefall and EK) - I'm thinking of something like shock nova to proc the shock, which would make bladefall and EK deal even more damage.

I believe with a dagger that can come close to 4 attacks per second with my cyclone, and having 3 spells, it might be better because of the new CoC cooldown.

I hope to hear your thoughts on this, thanks!

First honest thought: i think you dont understand how Shock works.
Without scaling for it you will never shock anyone that you would care about shocking.

On going Assassin:
You also lose about all the defense this build has if you go assassin, getting gear will be tons harder because you need Elreon Rings to sustainthe Cyclone, you lose all the Evasion and tons of ES.

IF you go Assassin imho it would be alot better to use Poison with Toxic Delivery for lots of good Poison on EK + BV.

I tested the build as Assassin back when i started to do the LowLife Version. You can find aVideo about that on my Youtube, it was befor Uber Lab so idid not have the 100% more Poison back then. It was ok but overall not remotely worth the extra investment and overall alot squishier than the Trickster version even on alot higher gear cost.

As Assassin its also almost mandatory to have Skyforth because you need your charges up 100% of the time and can´t do shit without charges.

(this also puts again more strain on other Slots as you are allready starved for Res and ES by having to use Elreon Rings, Skyforth againhave no Res and low ES)

You made a good point, I really need to reconsider the assassin choice. Thanks, man.
