Is this with regard to "It's the same for all instances except Viper Strike, at the moment. Viper Strike specifically overrides the poison duration with its own base skill duration."?

At one point I thought that it does stack. But unless I red that wrong, I think it says that it doesn't.

I think it means that it applies to all kinds of poison. Except the duration is changed with Viper Strike. So instead of 2 seconds it's whatever viper strike writes.

It sure does. However, the "at the moment" phrase in the OP makes me fear the nerf hammer is about to be swung.

Are talismans affected by my Item Rarity modifiers?

No. Talismans existed long before your item rarity gear could affect them. Map item rarity modifiers, however, DO affect talismans, and powerful monsters tend to be attracted to powerful talismans, so magic, rare and unique monsters are more likely to drop higher rarity talismans. Item Quantity modifiers have no effect on talismans at any point.

i'm quite surprised noone jumped on this so far because i feel it is somewhat counterintuitive. i kind of suspected this as i'm killing possessed monsters with flame totem +IIR-gem linked to it and there was no indication that talismans drop with a higher rarity than before.

I think this is a good move by ggg not forcing us to roll an MF char on this subject and on the other hand having map rarity effect it.

also *thumbs up* for clarifying this and not holding this vital information back until the end of the league (warbands *cough*).

Thanks for the info. Just one thing is missing but maybe it's just random as usual : How is Talisman's rarity determined ?

I saw some stuff on Reddit about this but i don't think it was quite accurate. Anyway, some info about it would be nice too. To know if it's useful to sacrifice rare talismans or not.

When sacrificing 5 Talismans, each Talisman adds 20% of a Talisman of its rarity being the resulatant one.

So if you sacrifice one white, one magic, two rare and one unique, your odds are 20% chance of a white talisman, 20% chance of a magic, 40% chance of a rare, and 20% chance of a unique.

This has made common and magic talismans redundant imo, i noticed a lot of people don't bother to pick up most talismans.

I think it would have helped if sacrificing 5 normal you have a 25% chance to produce a magic talisman, if you sacrifice 5 magic you have a 15% chance to produce a rare talisman, or whatever numbers, it would give some incentive for people to pick them up and try and upgrade their quality. Rare talismans are common enough that you can just ignore anything below rare.

If you just wanted to fish for unique talismans then there is no point picking up a common or magic talisman, keep the better ones and roll the dice with the mediocre ones.

What I am not sure on is what type of talismans drop, is it completely random or is there some mechanic based on zone or mob type that spawns with it?

10% chance to deal 10% additional dmg

Is this a joke passive?
Hello, I'am playing a 100% Fire->Chaos conversion will %Increased Fire apply to both the initial hit and to the Posion DOT (Double dip)? Will the posion dot keep the #Fire damage tag from the conversion?

//Filiox
Very cool

The poison DoT is not converted damage, it's its own separate effect stemming from the initial hit. As such, fire damage will not apply.
I have a question about Talisman,

Will the league be added to standard instances like Vaal Zones, Masters, Strongboxes and Shrines etc etc, or it will be zana only like Warbands and Tempest at the end of the league ?

Thanks for the awesome Q&A Bex !
