I'm thinking the same economic rules should be applied to online games, so that the people with hundreds of exalted orbs and such are taxed, and the orbs given to the needy players.

Furthermore if we want to make Wraeclast whole again, GGG needs to institute a minimum orb drop per hour. If 15 Chaos an hour is good enough for Antitheopolis, it should be good enough for everyone else.

I did the math and 15 is a good compromise between round numbers, so there's no need to analyze the impact on the economy.

The only downside is all the Chaosdioxide from unecessary crafting. Players just need to learn to enjoy totally organic natural maps - without all that GMO stuff added in.

Since economic warming is a very real problem, GGG might need to introduce Chaos cap and trade. Players who farm locally don't usually generate much Chaosdioxide, and so they can trade their Chaos credits for Exalts from the players that want to continue mapping with abandon.

Players will also need to start sharing hideouts because increasing player density is a priority - those way points don't run on warm fuzzy feelings! Along that line of thought, all players will be subject to a 1 alt per WP usage fee to help fund Solaris plants throughout Wraeclast.

What's your problem with cap and trade schemes (or carbon taxes)? They stopped acid rains in the past, they actually work. Pricing externalities is a good way to let the market do their magic and solve enviromental problems. Competition alone doesn't fix that kind of stuff.

As a parody post, I give it a 5/10. Some things don't really deserve criticism, or at least they deserve a more nuanced one.

With trillions of dollars involved, the level of fraud goes up and the level of nuance goes down. There are a lot of good ideas and great minds working on some of these problems, but there's also too much naivety. The same greed that allowed pollution to become so rampant in the first place isn't limited to specific job types.

Put enough money in the wrong places and all sorts of honest folk look the other way.

The sooner people take that to heart, the sooner they will actually get leaders and legislation that is properly thought out and properly executed.

This seems to be how they operate. I've seen an interview with an ex-Isis member who said that after Merkel "opened the gates" to Germany the Isis leadership was in serious distress because they saw their narrative of Christians hating and exploiting Muslims wherever they can questioned. According to the guy the Paris attacks were a direct response to that, the goal being an intensification of the war and the closing of the borders to Europe.
