Donald Trump

intellectual dishonesty? I have said repeatedly, repeatedly mind you, that I am not weighting in on the policies or his private personal held beliefs (apparently you know this guy closely because you are going on about attributes discussed no where in the article).

I simply pointed out that article is written as click bait with fragmented quotes with carefully dribbled context around those quotes, harshly criticizing the one candidate for racism with implied racism while completely avoiding or even obfuscating his well supported points, and throwing a one line pass for the other candidate, even going ahead and providing cover for what his plans might entail.

And that the structure of the article is to create one meme, this muslim is racist, never minding the actual arguments or that he never even suggested firing white people, but to 'reshape the board' because 'it needs to better reflect London's diversity in the interest of Londoners'. He could move to add 2 or 3 people to the board, he didn't say how he would reshape the board. But in your infinite knowledge you know already, needing no supporting evidence, just decry he is racist!!!! .

Who is intellectually dishonest here?

he explained his position clearly. The article is painting it as racism

""Thirteen of them are black men. Thirteen. Think about it . It only has three transgnders on it. That's less than one in five. "

Does the inherent racism of London's new mayor stand out a little more now that the targets of his speech are slightly altered?

He judges people by their race and their sex. Pretending that men can't represent women is like pretending that women can't represent men. People who believe in portioning out all positions don't genuinely believe others are created equal, they believe others are inferior and will only obtain positions if they are given to them.

It is the most despicable type of racism there is. A non racist mayor could have said that these people have a disconnect with those using public transportation as evidenced by their statements or behaviors ....

Whether the other mayoral choice was more or less racist, I have no idea, but the thinking of this one is clear enough.

"The vegan diet is what I like the best,”

Then again, this statement by Bill was deemed perfectly acceptable by the media too:

"African Americans watch the same news at night that ordinary Americans do."

I forgot bill Clinton was after enslaving black people as part of his regressive (economic boom, jumps in quality of life, drops in unemployment, drops in poverty, jumps in education levels regressive) agenda.

"A non racist mayor could have said that these people have a disconnect with those using public transportation as evidenced by their statements or behaviors ....

and by the way, from the article, youd have no way to know if he opened with this, they don't link the speech, they don't provide any context, label it as news, not opinion.

Clearly he didn't open with "Think about it." you guys and your mission to prove non-white people want to see the complete destruction of white people. He is stating verifiable facts, if you attach some sort of inference to it, well that's on you.

My conjecture is that this will slowly reverse/correct itself IF higher education is more accessible. There's no way to do this point justice without getting too long-winded, but, basically, the idiots with the participation awards will get weeded out in favor of the sharp tacks currently digging the ditches.
With the federal government involved?

Lol. And Cadiro helps boost the trade value of uniques. I mean, don't get me wrong, if your goal is just "I want the experience" then there's something to getting taxpayers to pay for you... but if you want it to be worth anything on the market, think again.

Not that it'd be "the experience" anymore anyway. Not really. It'd be four more years of high school.

I mean, if you guys are thinking "what we need is the government to step in and reform education," they just did that not too long ago, it was called No Child Left Behind. How's that working for you?

It seems the impasse we're at is due to you thinking that I'm saying a "free higher education for all" standard equals a "free degrees for all" standard. If anything I'd say it's the opposite. I'd largely expect the number of college graduates to decline with free higher education.

grad rate will drop, surely SURELY number of grads and credentials going out will increase with no other changes to the system.

To postulate otherwise would be excluding research that cost of college is a barrier to many hopeful scholars. Or at least doubting that research.

Sweet mother that is some gorilla math and reasoning there. I know he did use the specific "abortion clinic bomber" but come the fuck on, it wasn't obvious what he meant?

I know what Scrotie meant, and his mind and heart are in the right place (imo) on this issue as far as I can tell. I also know what Ray Cheetah meant, and my reply to Scrotie was more in the vein of not painting any group with a broad brush. Painting a group as "good students" is just as much a bias as painting a group as "bad students". Painting a group as violent or peace loving is bias, as well.

The numbers I posted have nothing to do with opinion. They don't have to do with individuals, and strangely enough, they may not really have anything to do with religion as a core cause. We can certainly say from recent history, that birth origin or even where a person grows up is not the sole determinant of whether they will end up in a terrorist group.

Now look back at Ray's post...

...

Apologies if I gave the impression I was responding to the entire conversation but it was just that one sentence and your post replying to just that one sentence with 'the numbers don't hold up'. So, I'm not sure which Ray post he was even initially replying to.

Scrotie mentioned abortion clinic bombers and you replied comparing them to the entirety of all muslim terrorists when I think it was obvious the spirit of the idea was all christian terrorists. For a more apt comparison I think we'd have to merely start with abortion bombers, then include their sympathizers, then every white supremacist organization that identified as christian, so and and so forth back to the crusades.

p.s. As for the rest of your post, I'll try to reply later.

Yeah, I might be blindly shooting from the hip by saying 'decline' but I'm working with the idea that there will be other changes to the system. Something largely merit based as opposed to the 'I'm paying an assload of money so lol I better get my degree/they're paying an assload of money so lol we better give them their degrees' system in place now.

Honestly I'm basing 'decline' on the fact that the slight majority of high school graduates would not be able to pass the current GED test.

Oh I agree with you that there needs to be other changes to the education system. Jamming free college on top of our current system, on top of our culture, in this political climate would be a huge costly learning experience.

Tennessee has been experimenting with free in state tuition for 2-year education, transfer or terminal (vocational). This system seems a nice comfortable base that could be workable, but on a larger scale universities are going to be hurting to lose so many students or pick up 2 year programs. Never mind the articulation stuff.

oh I know I am intelligent, I get paid for my intelligence. Also good job continuing your trope-ish banter though, as you have been scoring points this whole time with it, I love the part where you are both idolizing trump and against the things he says, seems you have your ducks in a row!

I like (not idolizing) trump for the qualities he has, yet Im not blind to his faults, I probably would never be for him if the other (real) candidates werent Hillary and Sanders and if he wasnt the seemingly only candidate that is willing to tackle the regressive left and rampant PC attitude, considering the era.
like I said I can see where the mayor is coming from and can see how people feel regarding the fares (and who knows he might even be right economically, but that I do not know), but I am still not willingly blind to his racism.
There is nothing wrong with being able to see both sides of one person, if you dropped the whole intellectual dishonesty deal you'd realize that yourself and probably evolve as a person.

I was about to devil's advocate for you until this gem.

One more thing: there is pretty much nothing stopping a low-paid "smart tack" from getting a college education currently. It isn't free, it involves getting a low-interest federal student loan. You will have to pay for it, eventually, but you can get your credentials and your better job first, and pay later.

The tricky part, really, is keeping a roof over your head and food on the table while doing so.
