[2.1] Life based EB CoE Wander | 70k GMP+Chain Kinetic Blast 4.5k life with Coil
" It's definitely an option, I mostly just don't like how clunky it feels on more agile bosses. Fighting someone like the Gorge boss, or Shrine Piety where they're jumping around like a squirrel on crack, it just feels really nice to have a dedicated single target skill that lets you mouse over the target, then hold down the kill button until the thing you want to die is gone. At the end of the day, I don't even have anything particularly useful to fill the remaining gem sockets with. I'm already doing really silly things like Empowering my Blood Rage for the massive bonus of 1% attack speed. I'm sure if I really wanted to I could already free up a spare 4L, I just haven't come up with anything worthwhile to stick in there if I did. |

I have no interest in playing this build. I just wanted to say that I love the colour formatting, it made it a pleasure to read :)

nice guild for life based wander.

|
my only note is the wand .I think one with less spell damage and more pdps will be better than the one you currently have

Nice writeup, I've been following along with your build as you've been making it. Very strong, I'm a huge fan of it!

I know it's not a beginner friendly build, but will you consider it is doable in a new league as the first character ?

" You can level a wander with twyzel and some cheap gear its when you get near to perfect gear that it gets really expensive.
" With all the new levelling uniques like Twyzel, levelling a wander as a first character is easier than ever, so I'm sure that much is possible. You can level up some auras alongside it, and have things work out really well. As for my build specifically, the passive tree is pretty similar to other wander builds, so you can easily level up as a standard Ele Wander using the blood magic gem, then swap over to EB once you get enough ES on Hit Jewels, then transition further to the CoE variant I am using now. That's how my build's slowly evolved into its current state. The nice thing about this build is you can gradually introduce each of those elements one at a time without really hurting anything, so even if you find yourself in a situation where you don't have enough currency to pull the full build off, you can still very effectively play as a more typical wander until you do. |

Hey Daniel, Tress here. Wanted to give my own review after having played it pretty casually but having also done some pretty high level maps with it when i probably shouldn't have.
First of all my gear currently: Honestly this gear is pretty bad an daniel's gear is like a 100x better, but i deal amazing damage currently, 25k with gmp/chain kinetic blast, and 70k with frenzy with 4 power charges and 3 frenzy charges, meaning no charges from the tree, and i haven't taken wandslinger group of nodes which should be significant. I used a much worse wand like this before: Daniel says this has a 10 ex budget, but its about 1-2 ex for a crown of eyes, and thats the only mandatory unique, a coil though makes this much more viable, and any wand with attack speed and crit chance is fine, but you really want imbued base. The jewels need only +3 es and you need a min of 4 of them, i sustain comfortably and have no problem with it, although i run low on frenzy, daniel's right about barrage giving infinite sustain but it has its own problems. For jewels though on a note, prioritize attack speed with wands as the other affix, and a second attacks speed affix if you can, as gives more damage then spell damage or proj damage, and makes the build feel a lot smoother as you don't run faster attacks. Barrage is really streaky in its damage and accuracy is a bitch with it, since it seems to work as it rolls one crit for all 4 projectiles, so it can feel really bad if you don't crit, and with no charges im at 54% crit chance. I also don't have a taste of hate and don't feel its mandatory, but i haven't done maps past 76 on my char, and i have 3.2k health so take from that what you will. This build does have issues without power charges though, so a modification i might suggest is figuring out a way to play this with pcoc on your single target, or use power siphon, i like frenzy though for the charges, and blood rage with vaal pact means when there's no mobs your hp drops dramatially, this is a problem against devourers. I haven't been able to sustain with acrobatics, although i've tried, you really want 900+ es before you try going acrobatics, or you're gonna run low pretty often, another option is getting witch flask effect nodes and running rumi's alongside a taste of hate, if your on standard this can get you up to almost 50% block chance and and the mitigation will make you really tanky. Just wanted to post on this from someone who has played this build pretty casually for a while, shout out to daniel for guiding me through the build basically whenever i asked and giving me a brodeal on my current wand, which has the attack speed i couldn't find on an imbued for under 20 exalts. The build is awesome if a bit lacking, but it has a really involved moving around quite a bit as to not get killed, and easily crit clears the entire screen, its a really great build, best i've ever played.
" All a pretty accurate assessment, although I'm still insistent that you should be grabbing those extra 2 power charges, they're important. With your wand it's an extra 11% crit you're missing out on, and having an 80% chance to crit means you'll be failing to crit twice as often as if you took the two power charges and went up to 90%, meaning that the power charges will effectively double the consistency of your crits. That consistency should have a pretty notable effect on both how reliably you curse with Herald of Ice, as well as make Barrage dramatically less streaky than it is. You are right though, a crit calculated for all 4 projectiles or none of them, so that element of the skill will always be there. As for incorporating PCoC somewhere, I have played around with having a 3L Frenzy + Faster Attacks + PCoC for longer boss fights, especially ones with multiple stages like Merveil/Dominus where you easily lose your charges between boss stages. If you move your Wrath + Anger + Enlighten to your wand/shield, you can stick your Blood Rage + Inc Duration + Ice Golem + Vaal Haste all into one 4L, then you'll have a spare 3L for this set-up. Worth trying out if you're having troubles with charges. |
