Hideout Theme: Emporium Supplies Shoppe. (Warbands League)
Thoughts: A clean theme focusing heavy on symmetry yet creating beauty through asymmetric distribution of objects. Thank you for your consideration! Reclamation: A theme and narrative
Without any idea of theme my design goal for creating this hideout was to re-skin Haku's hideout so that it wouldn't feel like his hideout at all. In order to do this I came up with the idea to create an ancient manor house that has been reclaimed by time, and to reclaim it for myself as a hideout, a place to sleep, eat, stash and craft gear. So I guess the theme for my hideout is reclamation. The waypoint brings you into a small encampment with all the necessities for living; a fire and a good book. To the north-east I built a structure specifically for crafting, lashing together bits of shipwreck collected from the beaches below. I had to cut away a lot of jungle to build this. I've installed a boardwalk to the north-west. It's possible there was once a beautiful garden here, but time has weathered it beyond recognition and only the hardiest of structures have withstood nature's relentless will to reach the sun. The boardwalk leads to the bottom of some ancient stairs, which take you up a narrow ravine into the mountains, before opening into a small clearing. The old well here is the only source of fresh water in the area and very likely the reason the manor house was built here countless years ago. Descending towards the sea, the main structure of the house is found built onto a rocky peninsula, where mysterious blue lights over the ocean have been known to draw in unwary sailors, the wreckage of their ships and boats occasionally washing up along the rocky beaches. The inscriptions on a great statue in the centre of the manor are barely legible, but Zana knew what it was on sight. Placing maps in the great bowl allows the opening of portals somewhat like the device in the Eternal Laboratory. For some reason it feels luckier though. Overgrown and ruined, you can almost make out the vast size the ancient house once was, imagine ceilings so high that their arching ribs would fade into shadows. Great trees provide the only canopy now. If you would like to visit my hideout is in Standard and my IGN is Dreams_Of_A_Feather. Please bring wine. Hideout name: Shrine of the Three Dead Lords
Hideout Theme: Death Hideout tile set: Unearthed Hideout League: Warbands Short introduction My idea was a simple one, create a hideout that is focused on anything related to death. I tried my best to add as little life as possible, and where I added it it has purpose. I had a few ideas on how to achieve this, but with the limited decorations that relate to death, I had a feeling that things could get repetitive fast, so I decided to add a sub theme to each portion of the hideout. The main theme is death; the sub themes are: 1. Bones, and thaumaturgy. 2. Torment, and devouring spiders. 3. Decay. Lets start showing them in order. I will also add a bit of backstory, just a personal preference. 1. Chamber of Bones Upon entering the ancient cemetery (unearthed hideout), Catarina, and her favorite exile, were greeted by a gigantic hooded skeleton, introducing himself as the Bone Lord. He told them that if they desire power over the dead, they should build him a shrine. Always eager to acquire power, they complied. They started immediately, and after many days they finally completed the shrine. Here's what they accomplished. The main altar, surrounded by the tombs of ancient powerful thaumaturges. Vegan, and Tora were allowed to reside in the room, only with the promise that they will offer 20 skulls, per day, to the bone Lord. The room is filled with bones, the main source of the power that is granted by the Bone Lord. For this exact reason, the room is used for crafting; the masters' tools are imbued with great power from the bones surrounding them. Also, the Bone Lord is an avid collector of Skulls (old hobby, I guess >.>) This mysterious pillar suddenly appeared, after the room was done. It's purpose is only known to the Bone Lord. If touched, it will strike you with a powerful lightning bolt. Some mysteries are better left unknown. 2.The Forest of Torment After fulfilling the wishes of the Bone Lord, a clearing was made in a part of the room. Upon entering the new section, Catarina, and the exile were met by a spirit. The spirit was barely visible, but you could make out its spider legs. The spirit introduced herself as the Mistress of Torment. She warned the two, that she will only allow residence in this part of the ancient cemetery, to those that feed her appetite for tormented souls. She also hinted that the easiest way to do that is to feed her legion of spectral spiders; their preferd food: human flesh. So our two Death worshipers started planing, and eventually came up with the following. Dead trees, a lot of skulls, and spider web. This place was elected as the "Vault". Located amongst skulls ,and spider web, and with Leo, and Zana as its guardians. Not that any living being would be able to get to it, without special permission. More dead trees, more spider web, and the cage serves as storage. It stores fresh humans, that will later be fed to the spiders. This is the Altar of the Mistress of Torment. Zana's map device proved to be an effective magnet for the souls of those devoured by the spectral spiders; the glowing specs in the air are all tormented souls. The Mistress gets her souls, and Zana's device gets "fuel". The altar is constantly surrounded by webbed agonizing humans, it helps keep the Torment alive and kicking. 3.Shrine of Decay After finishing with the second section, a third section opened. Upon entering, our two death worshipers made their way to the middle of the "room". Upon setting foot on the central platform, a greenish mist started to rise, and from that mist a tornado formed, a green stinking tornado, that spun around decaying corpses, and all manner of rotten body parts. A voice was heard; in a demanding voice it spoke: "build an altar, corrupted, and decayed, surround this altar with rot, guts, and gore, corpses, or any other form of vile death. Do this, and you shall know dominion over death forever." Who can say no to that? They immediately started. After long weeks, they finally succeeded. The graves were already there, the corpses came after. What is there to say about this? It's quite simple: corpses, upon corpses, upon corpses; all surrounded by the miasma of Decay. And here lies the Altar of Decay. Catarina takes great care that the corpses keep piling up, and that the stench of rotten flesh is as abundant as ever. And so ends our tour of the House of Death. Our pair of death worshipers acquired that which they sought after for so long; Dominion over death, under the close counsel of Death. Conclusion Hope you guys enjoyed. Even if I don't win, I'm happy to share my vision of a corrupt hideout. Sadly I'm not hardcore enough at playing the game. If I had more favor with the masters, I'd have made it more awesome; alas I made due with what I had available. |

Welcome to my hideout, enjoy :)
THEME: The Castle Elreon Hideout Standard League In my hideout I tried to create a synergy between the items of all the masters. Map device's room and the main room have the same style. In the third room there are items that needed to have its own environment. Near the Waypoint there is a room to rest with friends during breaks. Immediately below there is Tora's archive where we can find all the known animals. Getting back up there's the Temple of the Warriors, where there is Leo. In the room to the north we find Zana, guardian of the map device. The "Map Device" is composed of two statues dancing, as a symbol of friendship. In the third and final room something dark is hidden, it's a statue as a symbol of wisdom that guards the passage. Near the entrance there is Elreon, which offers us a chance to escape through a wagon to avoid the darkness. If you have enough courage to enter the darkness you will find Vorci, that puts you in front of a choice ... Which way to choose? Up you will find The Grove where you can relax and stay safe among the nature. Down there is The Citadel, dominated by the effort and hard work Finally behind vorici, there is the most obscure room of all the hideout, only a few people who visited The Castle have entered in this room ... and they never came back! The CEMETRY General images to better understand the hideout.

I hope you enjoyed it :) AH I almost forgot... be honest, which of you has a fisherman fishing in the "Blessing Font"? :D |

My submission for the contest is my standard league hideout. My character is Sarito_
This is a Romantic Dinner in Wraeclast. An ancient library is transformed into an exclusive restaurant, with only one table and two chairs for a romantic and unforgetable dinner. When you arrive and get out of your cab, you will be received like a king and his queen. You can have a romantic chat while walking through the gardens under the moonlight. Leo will acomodate you and talk about the menu. Vorici will take your order. The round table let you join chairs together and have a more intimate meal. Tora is the main chef. You can enjoy her secret recipes, known all over Wraeclast. Catarina and Elreon are the famous and most loyal customers. You can find the ruins of the former library, where you can look for ancient knowledge of the history of this land. Thank you for your visit. We hope you come back soon. Elreon's Exquisite Elaboration I like the skeleton of enlightened hideouts with nice pillars and book shelves to incorporate into the design. My hideouts normally consist of some subtle lighting effects and rubble placement, that's about it. Torches, candelabrum and cauldrons make the base for my lightning while I use firefly swarms atop the cauldrons and fireplace to create subtle shadows reminiscent of bat swarms.. Large crypt rubble sections cover the huge gaps in elreon's hideout I have a pen for my three firefox pets whom are fed seagulls and fish from whatever seaside maps I run. Some crafting benches and guild stash are embedded into walls. Make Things For Smile! Last edited by AdzPoE#5624 on Sep 28, 2015, 6:14:18 AM
