Developer Questions and Answers
Some questions that I fell in need:
1 - When you plan to show in a tooltip the damage of SRS/Summon/Spectre/etc...? It has been a long time since those are ingame and nothing changed since... ever. It's not impossible to use it. 2 - When you plan to talk about the Brazilian server? What you, the publisher, know about that servers from Layer? Thanks. :) Last edited by Darkkaos#6160 on Aug 24, 2015, 12:32:34 PM

" +1. Also, why is your team so fuckin sick, Chris? The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300. Last edited by Daresso#3599 on Aug 24, 2015, 12:08:59 PM

Physical damage has been ramped up significantly with the Awakening expansion. The changes to physical damage mitigation options seem centered around making melee options better - buffed armor, the usual endurance charges, and Fortify, in my opinion by far the most overpowered form of mitigation currently available in terms of gain:investment ratio.
Meanwhile, EB/MoM is worse, harder to build for, and more-or-less requires a third keystone in the form of Zealot's Oath; the already-risky Acro/PA is hard to justify when the individual hits are so much bigger; and block-based defenses get worse every patch as block values decrease and block nodes on the passive tree dwindle. On top of all of this, Lightning Coil and Taste of Hate, two of the most powerful uniques for mitigating physical damage, are so rare that the average player cannot reasonably attain them. As a player, I feel that the defensive options available are too limited for int/dex-based classes, and those that are there feel vastly inferior to those available to strength/melee. With that said, from a design standpoint, are you happy with the current defensive options available? On a slightly related note: Cloak of Defiance's main strength, in my eyes, was giving easy access to a powerful keystone that was in the middle of nowhere (and thank you so much for moving both it and Vaal Pact). Currently, Cloak no longer has the increased MoM effect, MoM is in a much better place on the tree, and the current iteration of EB/MoM builds don't utilize the mana stats on Cloak at all, because the nerfed clarity incentivizes reserving 100% mana and using ZO + life regen to sustain casts. Therefore, Cloak of Defiance currently reads as a Lacquered Garb with (110-150%) Eva/ES. In other words, a magic Lacquered Garb with a single Unreal or Illusory (T2/T1 % Eva/ES) mod is about equivalent to Cloak of Defiance in the current state of the game. Perhaps a rework to EB/MoM mechanics will not require any changes to the item itself - but in absence of that, do you have any plans to possibly revisit Cloak of Defiance's viability as a powerful defensive item for casters? Every major patch introduces a revamped skill tree and usually a handful of new gems. Awakening introduced a HUGELY revamped Skill Tree, a bunch of new skills, a bunch of changed skills, a new jewel mechanic, and a boatload of new uniques.
1.) Given the free-form nature of Build creation (Passive allocation, Skill Gem Selection, Equipment Selection, and mechanics knowledge), how do you go about safe-guarding the game from creative combinations that your player base would regard as broken? Any memorable player-found mechanics that really caught you off guard (ie "Why didn't WE think of that?!" moments?) 1a) How do you make the distinction (or do you even believe there is one) between a very powerful build and a build that is "broken"? How do you balance rewarding careful and clever community build creation and the need to maintain a balanced meta-game so that not everyone is running around using a single build/skill mechanic? 1b) How tired are you of us players screaming about this or that being OP and then complaining about nerfs ;) |

When will the moddable offline version of PoE be ready?
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Have the folks at GGG considered possibly adding in a auto sort option for each page of your stash?
It would save me and many many many many players some headaches between leagues. I do not look forward to the arrangement after Warbands ends and even less so at all considering the gems between both. A simple auto sort function would solve this issue and help out greatly. Most arpgs have this simple function and can even do it for the inventory itself. Don't know why you guys don't have such a simple feature yet. Its been years. Also please put in the slider for visual effects. This is not a question this is a demand. The fact it isn't in is extremely disrespectful towards your players. This was extremely apparent when the Masters expansion dropped. People were at their peak about this issue and you folks added FAR worse visual effects and this seemed to continue with the implementation of Act 4 with Malachai. Honestly it's only quieter about it now because most consider you guys don't give a dam about the issue(and your actions blatantly tell us this). So maybe, just maybe show us some respect and put the feature in. I don't need it personally but a great deal do. |

Have you or the team thought about doing an office video tour and introduce some team members while you where at it?
It'd be cool if it was a "on the spot" video when nobody expects no pre-planning was involved. |

-What is the highest number of deaths on a single character?
-What unique is currently equipped the most throughout all of POE? What unique is currently equipped the least? (Gotta be veil, right?) -Since the release of Version 0.10.0 Are there any legacy items or rolls on items that no player has held on to and is now non-existent on the live server? (For example if all the eternals were to be used up someday, or if pre 1.0.0 versions Malachai's Simula which were not around too long and were objectively worse than current versions so every last one was vendored?) |
