[2.2] [Video] The Iron Reave - 100k DPS Crit Duel Wield Block Iron Reflex Reaver

Maybe it has been debated already, but I wanted to know if using a dagger and update the tree accordingly would be the same or do you think that swords are in a better position. ( maybe I'd start as a Ranger, too ). SC, of course.

Thanks for your time.
Thank you for the reply.

Just one last thing I'm curious about, if you have 6 link, where would you put the enduring cry instead? I noticed all other sockets are full and wasn't sure which one is less important to have.

edit: I noticed most people linking their gears don't have enduring cry on, is it safe to assume the endurance charge on melee stun/warlord's mark is adequate?

Daggers should be fine and i think its a good option with Binos beeing so cheap these days.
The only thing that i´d really miss compared to Swords would be the additional block chance from one of the sword clusters.

@Shilyu

In my example Gear i have a 4Link Whirling Blades, you can just skip the reduced mana there to put in the Enduring Cry.

Thanks for taking the time to update for 2.1 Zwei - just wanted to get your (and others) feedback on going into the new HC Talisman League regarding this builds survivability in a Hardcore league. Should I be looking at adjusting the tree listed in OP, differing gearing options (I assume the usual Lighting Coil is a no-brainier etc).

Thanks!

I honestly would not run this in HC.

But i am one of those that just would not run Melee in HC in general because i am a pussy ;)

@inc. AoE

I feel like that would bring up mana costs for very little benefit... with Vaal reave you allready have the whole screen AoE.

@T14-15 Maps

The damage is enough but you have to be really carefull with damage, afterall we only get like 170% from the tree.
With good gear you get around 5.5k life maybe 6k, some decent AR + enducharges.

If that feels comfortable for you really depends on playstyle.

Thank you for all the informative posts, I read through 20+ pages of this thread. However there was still some questions I had left.

I probably shouldn't be worrying about this since I'm still very far off from it but I'm curious...

This is for softcore: When lvling 95+ and doing the T14-15 maps, would you still keep your setup same or would would it better doing something like going LC + hatred + arctic armor and maybe going acrobatics? Or perhaps just simply wait until I save up for a 6L LC when going 95+ and keep your same setup.
Also I'm not sure if abyssus' damage is worth it with its negative vs. dying at 95+ and losing like 8 hours of work. Maybe if I could get a awesome sword, I could replace it without slowing the clear speed.

I know you said your build is done at 90 but I love reave too much to be "done" at 90. Kind of funny since I've only really played ranged characters until now.

1. Abyssus is like 50% of your damage
2. I find it a pain to level anything over 95, idk if you did it allready but for me its no fun at all so i can´t tell you anything about it.

I would for sure not choose any kind of Melee build if i would plan to do this. The only builds where i could imagine doing it would be my Hybrid CoC Cyclone or Hybrid CoC ST.

Currently lvl 84 and enjoying the build. Do you have any tips on getting 5k hp or pushing past. I seem to be squeezing life out of everything and I'm still only at 4k hp (no abyssus yet).

More Levels do help ofc.

Then there are Strength Rolls on items. A pair of boots with 80 Life + 40 str is 100 Life on boots and this can add up.

Jewels should have Life on it as priority 1. I´d rather take Life + 1 damage stat then 3 damage stats with no life.

If you play in Talisman i would for sure use one of the Talismans with % Life impolicit as this will help a lot.

Oh ya, didn't think about trying to get strength rolls. And ya, I really want to get that %Life Implicit, no such luck yet.
Just to clarify, since the tree links are still sort of broken even in the offline skill builder, do you take Sleight of Hand or no?
