" 1. Yes.. .why not? One is for Molten Shell + IC the other one is a "lazy mans" setup to not worry about Golem & blood rage. 2. AS Mark is used for charges if you don´t have a Death´s Hand. 2 Curses work, as AS Mark wil ltrigger at the moment you kill a pack, while Warlords activets once you take damage to provide extra leech. @Drackenith You should watch the Video or read the Guide again. I just updated the build with a 2.1 Skilltree.
There are even more good nodes now but as before we just can´t take them all... Get 7% Life on both jewels, thats even more important now as we lost about 4% life with the new tree. Current Builds:

So I see that you are intending to only have the main hand do damage. Does just the main hand doing damage do more damage overall than also having an off hand that works with reave? I ask because I honestly have no idea.

I'm doing something similar and I want to share some food for thoughts.
- If you use ice crash, it will only use your main hand no matter which off hand you use. You could use things like ungil's main gauche, prismatic eclipse. Would Ornament of the East work? Ice crash is slow but you don't use multistrike so it's not that bad. However I found that mana is a problem. You can use physical to lightning to convert all physical to elemental to do physical reflect maps. You can switch to reave for elemental reflect maps. You could use physical to lightning and Call of the Brotherhood to get 100% cold damage. One could make a build with doryani + soul taker with 100% elemental damage. - If you use soul taker in off hand, you can save on points on the tree, you won't have to ever worry about mana and you can reserve all your mana for auras. You can do no regen or minus to regen maps no problem. - You could give up on iron reflexes and block and go for acrobatics. You could use lightning coil and arctic armour for mitigation. You might have to get some resist of the tree. - I wonder how good a pure elemental build with sword + soul taker would be. You wouldn't need blood magic gem and you will be able to leech in 2.1. My tree, you can check my character in my profile, name is SomethingSwiftNSharp. My char is very glass canony but I'm getting ridiculous dps. I don't use abyssus for maps. Ice crash, with conc effect, frenzy charges, atziri's flask, lion's roar flask, I'm reaching 366k dps, not counting hypothermia, no taste of hate, no abyssus. " Reave will alternate between your 2 weapons if both can be used for reave, so you gain no advantage. You will get more dps if you use an off hand that give stats boost if it can't use reave so only your main hand will reave. However, maybe cleave would be better. Dual strike for pure single target would be better, maybe with improved melee splash in 2.1 it will be better for aoe. I'd say dual strike is the best melee dps gem in the game. Problem is the mana cost, maybe that will be better in 2.1. |

We use mana on hit + mana leech so no regen maps are not a Problem at all. If you use soultaker you can´t use Death´s hand. Thats 40% more damage + powercharge generation. " What a novel idea... maybe check out Ziggys Southpaw Reave.. this build is exactly that, but skips Acro for IR. I mention this in the Video and in the Text in the opening post. " I don´t use a blood magic gem? Also Elemental reave is again a whole different build and has nothing to do with a Phys Reave... Current Builds:

Thanks for taking the time to update for 2.1 Zwei - just wanted to get your (and others) feedback on going into the new HC Talisman League regarding this builds survivability in a Hardcore league. Should I be looking at adjusting the tree listed in OP, differing gearing options (I assume the usual Lighting Coil is a no-brainier etc).

Think I'll be running this build in Talisman league. How is running tier 14-15 maps with this build? Is it tanky enough? Also, I noticed a lot of reave builds using increased aoe gem. Thoughts on that? Thanks.

" I honestly would not run this in HC. But i am one of those that just would not run Melee in HC in general because i am a pussy ;) @inc. AoE I feel like that would bring up mana costs for very little benefit... with Vaal reave you allready have the whole screen AoE. @T14-15 Maps The damage is enough but you have to be really carefull with damage, afterall we only get like 170% from the tree. With good gear you get around 5.5k life maybe 6k, some decent AR + enducharges. If that feels comfortable for you really depends on playstyle.
