I find the leech is enough from the Kings guard. Can I just use iron will and get rid of Vaal pact then? Do I need Vaal pact to make kingsguard leech instant or it's already instantaneous?

I am missing quite alot of intelligence for my character, i believe i need 150 additional after adopting the lv90 tree, and also 82 strength. We are using alpha howl, so the remaining slot can only be ring, gloves or boots to get 130 intelligence. Any suggestions?

Sky, Kingsguard is already instant so you can just drop Vaal Pact easily. I use both Iron Will and Vaal Pact (with my 2% life leech coming from Warlords Mark).
xiao, check the gear section to see what you need on gear. I have a ring with 40 INT and gloves with 40+ INT. Your belt should have 40+ STR. Just check the gear section for details. |

How about using instead of saffels?

Saffell's gives more resistance.
Saffell's gives more spell block. Energy shield is useless for the build. Saffell's has slightly less spell damage, but my next point makes up for it tenfold. Saffell's +5% to maximum resistances is absolutely positively unconditionally unquestionably [insert more synonyms here] by FAR the most beneficial mod that you can get on a shield for this type of build. It's a tank build and should be treated as such. The +5% (or 4%) is what allows you to tank spells endlessly (coupled with instant leech/kingsguard). I'd much rather have the ability to tank high end spells than have an extra 10% prescaled life. I'm assuming that you suggested Rathpith because of the increased spell damage. It only gives you about 30% increased spell damage (almost nothing). I would rather have +5% to maximum resistances than 30% increased spell damage. Actually, I would even choose only +1% to maximum resistance over 30% increased spell damage. Saffell's is an essential part of the build and I don't recommend switching it for anything (except Chuck Norris). |

" Yes, i did go through the gear section but it still seems to me the gear does lack some strength and intelligence. I am collecting my items along the way while I am leveling my character. I want to use atziri step boots, but looking at the stats, i will need more INT and some STR on the boots. Are my calculations correct? The tree i am using is http://tinyurl.com/okf8gq4 330str (passive tree) 50str (my magnate belt) 20str (my volls amulet) 400str total 150int (passive tree) 20int (my volls amulet) 40int (ring) *to buy* 40int (glove) *to buy* 250int total IGN: @McDeliveryOnFlurry - Legacy Softcore add me if i win or if my bids are lower than c/o Last edited by xiaozozo#2448 on Sep 1, 2015, 10:54:50 PM

You didn't account for the Shadow/Templar starting stats: They both start with 23 base INT.
This still means you need 27 more INT. I got 7 extra INT on my gloves, 4 extra INT from Voll's, and 10 extra INT from a jewel. I end up with 304 INT total, but I can't figure out where the last 10 INT came from... Regarding STR, if you have the full passive tree of 330 STR, 50 STR from magnate, and 20 STR from Voll's then you should have over 412 STR because Shadow starts with 14 base STR and Templar gets even more. |

" You could also get some attack speed jewels with attributes on since this build runs a few jewel sockets. |
|
" yea, have also rolled some decent jewels but i still refuse to roll +stat jewels! perhaps i really should :D IGN:
