A4 Piety, overtuned? + the burning man

My real problem with Piety Abomination is the fact she can be knockbacked or move around the room. My 2H Marauder has issues with her sticking to walls on side, which means I either kill her in next 2 beams or I die becuase I run out of flasks. I also have to attack her from different angle to keep her centered to prevent her from bugging out and sticking to walls.
The continuous dodging part is an interesting perspective

Ignoring that you are dying in one hit to the beam (probably build is a bit squishier than it should be or bad gear), i find that you have plenty of time to attack while dodging as at any moment after you have started dodging the beam, the movement you will do is very obvious. even without much movespeed, staying close to piety (centre of beam) allows you get to attack quite often

Even on my first try in this fight I managed to land attacks with a nonoptimized (respec dead char to test act 4) detonate dead character (have to use desecrate before even attacking, with some garbage 2.3k tooltip dps in merciless, with slow cast speed) during the lasers.

Tested her with my aurora fb duelist. Good block, not so good armor. Granted, the gear isn't some 50+ ex pro-flipper set, and I didn't have neither fortify nor EC but if it can't be done without all dat schiznit than what "build diversity" we are talking about?
Edit: also, when I died and respawned I got hit with the beam the very moment I was starting to move. Over and over again. Either it is a bug or it is intended - in which case it is a horrible design decision.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

I do it in cruel with my witch in HC, and it was a really intensive battle.

Run into a little circle around her, when she will does her laser, you (normally) have time to run behind and don't be hit. If you are hit by the laser, take a BLEEDING REMOVES red flask to recove your life quickly (The flask remove bleeding during the effect). If you can, take an Immortal call and use it for the laser, you will no take damage.

I do it with only an animate guardian (who don't survive xD) and a chaos golem, if you can put a minion life and exp the chaos golem gem. Mine have 10000hp, he do'nt survive yeah, but he can do minimum damage before dying with the bleeding. The advantage it is because he seems fast, and when you are solo front the boss, a minion like the golem chaos is very good. The bosses will strike him(it) rather than you what will allow you he can save your life, will strike and will observe what takes place in the tiny zone!

If you can have some regen life, it would be nice, Is not afraid of being struck by her big balls of blood, they widely less hurt than her laser, and as kept silent courres they will not affect you a lot.

Sorry if my english it's not perfect >.<

This witch was a test, A decisive test. A witch tank with a godd life regen, 3000HP a i think, a good dps. Only have an animate guardian for monsters, and a chaos golem to help me on bosses.
You have to run to do Piety.

So Squeeze(Tighten) buttocks, put some music completely, remain concentrated even if your life falls dangerously
Okay I just Ripped on Piety Act 4 cruel.
Strange thing is that I didn't die on her laser, not her lightning balls.

I had gotten her down to about 30% then went up to town to replentish my potions. I jump back down run towards her then BAM BAM 1 second later im dead. While she is not doing anything. Im guessing it was those bombs from the ground or something? Still thats crazy, I even managed to insta pot once, yet I still died.

I had 3.5k HP, 53% physical reduction, about 4% life reg and max res ofc.

I don't mind dying in Hardcore, but that shit was just silly. I want to atleast be able to defend myself from shit like that.

but regardless it doesn't make it a fun mechanic when it spawn on ur face, feels like you were cheated out of a chance to dodge, even if it doesn't overall affect the fight (just pot back up and start running...)

This is right, i agree with this, laser should spawn in the opposite side of you so you can always have time to dodge the beam

Also, even while she's casting the beam, it's possible to attack her: just run around CLOSE to her to minimize the distance and attack in the spare time, it's possible even as melee (i managed to hit her 2-3 times while casting the beam, then proceded to move around to dodge it with +1% movement speed only)

So imo, thing to be fixed:

Laser spawning (it should be opposite of you, not random)
Don't let Piety hug the wall

Damage and mechanics imo are perfectly fine for both melee and ranged

just run around CLOSE

And with slightest lockstep/desync stand more than one sec in laser and die, like I did today.

Kill a4m Piety at last.
...with BM FT templar.
...and still died couple of times - not to da lazor but to the balls, there's just too many of them.
Either reduce da lazor speed or reduce size/quantity of the balls.
And let's not even talk about her (shitloads of) minions.

I just ran into this brick wall myself now.

My 2H sword duelist can outrun the beam and even soak it a couple of times (especially when I have a heal totem). I'll try Leap Slamming over it next time. However, I can't deal with the army of maggots that spawn in the tiny room, slowing me down along with the energy balls. And it's usually the bleed stacks (from surviving the initial beam-hit apparently) that kill me over and over.

Kaom and Daresso were satisfying fights in normal even if I did beat them the first time, but Piety II is just a blatant example of bad, broken design.

And I hear Malachai is even worse...

Piety's fight - and Malachi's to lesser(?) extent - seems now to be AoE-check (hello Charan, you were friggin' absolutely right). Either you can carpet-bomb the entire screen or you can't win. Brilliant design, GGG, just brilliant.
Oh, almost forgot - the exception is 15448945318451894156189 dps builds who can just instagib the boss in one click but we are talking about normal(="scrub") players here.
