[2.2 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]

Damn, for a "New user", your gear is amazing! Did you drop a Mirror on the beach, just when you entered the game? :/

I don't understand the purpose of including Herald of Thunder in this 4-link. Increased duration brings up HOT's mana(life) usage to 35%. What's the benefit?

The Creator of the build mentioned it multiple times, HoT is optional. You can skip it completely, or use it from time to time. For example, while levelling in act 1&2 merc or cruel, which are ridiculously easy. Or when you run maps under your level. Or farm dried lake. In all these cases you have no probleme of survivability, so why not adding a little bit of DPS? However it's modest, less than +5% I guess. I don't use it myself.

The thing is, with this build you don't have much possibilities to get extra DPS out of your main skill: you can't deal damage yourself, you can't cast another totem, auras cost too much life, and other Heralds do not apply to spells. So HoT is pretty much the only option.
what about The consuming Dark dagger with this build, will this work just fine or not ?

Increased Duration increases the duration of the on-kill effect of HoT. I believe that is the only benefit.
A stupid beginner question. Could not find answer in google. What exactly selfcasting mean? How you do it? Is it like some special setting in key bind menu or what? Once again sorry for that stupid question.

self casting means you have to cast the skill yourself since its not triggerd by cwdt gem in the case of enduring cry so you have to manualycast it th get its effect
Oh wow, I thought it was something like in other games, where you can for example cast a heal on ally, but if you press alt+spell it automatically casts it on yourself. Thank you.

Been playing 5 months now and i got 2 friends with me and we share wealth so things do go ALOT faster with abit of luck

Do Mirrors even exist ?! :p
so what about the dagger The Consuming Dark wich convert the rest of our fire dmg to chaos and make our chaos dmg poison would that work or we would lose all our ignite and stuff

I've bought three wands with similar stats to yours (not as good but close) and all but ONE did more dps by only 50. The other two decreased my DPS but like 500 and 700. 2 of them had at least 80% spell damage(one had 74%) , 15% fire spell damage, 10% cast speed, added fire damage(one had lighning) etc.
I assume your wand is better than Apep's? But I don't understand how. How good do the stats have to be, to be better than my apep's rage? Like what are the minimum percentages? This is my wand:

And these are the other three

I don't know if you are aware that "Add X Fire damage" applies only to Attacks. For spells, you need "Add X Fire damage to spells".

Even with that, I would have said that all 3 wands should have been significantly better than an Apeps. It depends also on your gear/tree mods, and on your gems. For example, if you have less cast speed than normal from tree, or if you don't have Faster Casting, then the +30% from Apeps adds much more. Same for the flat Add Chaos if you have Void Manipulation. You should switch to the standard gems when you equip the wands. Can you post your FT setup?

Also, your Apeps has very good rolls, for sure.
