All of the Jewels in The Awakening!
all these posts and still no answer on the single important question... Are jewel sockets counted as notables? If not, there are only 2 sockets with 4 notables in small range at all, at the witch and templar area

Haven't seen mentioned that the Brute Force Solution jewel name and flavor text would suggest the OPPOSITE effect. Wouldn't a name like "Brains over Brawn" or similar make more sense?

I think a lot of people are missing the point that almost half of the jewels aren't "Limited to 1."
I don't see anything that I wouldn't use, given the chance. Can't wait. |

" I tried the Conquerors Efficiency jewel thinking i can use the 2% reduced mana reserved but it gave me 1, yes 1 point more mana. When i asked about it in the betaforums thinking it was a bug, it turns out it is working correct. Something with rounding made it only reserve 1 point of mana less. And i was using 3 auras. This jewel is bad, not worth the wasted points. Actually, almost all unique jewels are not worth using. I really hope GGG realises this and buffs them. |

" Conquerors efficency? Its decent but not really ultimate. A rare with 15 miniondamage, 4 castspeed, 4 castspeed with staffs and 8% life or 8% all resists will be alot better. Think that will be about as good as it gets. |

All in all very nice.
However, I don´t like that they didn´t rethink Fevered Mind. They nerfed it because of the OP combo with Soultaker and Crown of Eyes. But I think they did it the wrong way. 30% spell damage (lucky max roll that is!) is not enough to stack 100% increased mana cost. They should have changed it to something like 4 - 8% more spell damage, so it would be a really nice buff with a pretty big downside and it wouldn´t be abusable with Crown of Eyes (more damage multipliers don´t work with it). |

Intuitive Leap being Small radius really limits this jewel. On top of the 2 - 3 points that will typically be needed to unlock the socket for it, there are very few places on the tree where it might be used to save you 2 points - 3 points...
I can understand why, though, getting behind the gated Chaos Innoc nodes, or saving a few points near Whispers of Doom. Was really hoping to nab whispers, rapidity and calm in the upper left, but with a small radius it won't touch any of them. So much for that idea. Jewels look like fun, I love the idea, but the clutter they have added to the tree makes them inconvenient in a number of places. The spots they show up have made previous paths cost 1 - 2 more points than before, harming pathing efficiency for the HP cluster in Templar, causing a jumble in the duelist bottom, and making the bridges from north to south part of the tree one point more expensive in all directions. The witch's jewel I'd love to see some of the gating clutter resolved; cut part of the 1 - O - 1 stat node connectors in the class areas, cut one stat point from each of the 6 2 point north-to-south / east-to-west bridges on the inner circuit, and bump the flavoured clusters on the outer circuit to 1.5x their current values to make them at least somewhat appealing. 4% elemental damage or mana or melee damage is crap in comparison to 8% - 12% anywhere else in the tree, even as connectors. 6% would be a consideration at least. Three point investments in these would be less harsh if the 2 points before the jewel node weren't so disappointing. Regardless of my own personal hang-ups, I'm happy to see more variety and complexity added to the game. |
