Jewels are end-game toys for the rich. Barring starting as a Scion, whom will naturally be able to take one or two Jewel sockets for a single skill point each, the skill point cost to use a Jewel is too high unless the Jewel is godly, i.e. a well rolled 4 affix rare with all good mods, which except for pure luck, only the rich will obtain.

Stop being naysayers, in the beta, currently, I am using 4 jewel sockets - I have rolled (myself) after 2 weeks of play 4 jewels with 2% shield block and + global crit chance and + resistances/more crit/other useful things.

It just takes a few alts and some regals - the jewels aren't perfect mind you, only 3 affixes and really I want shield block and mana on hit but that's incredibly difficult to roll and only happens with veridian jewels BUT that being said the jewels I do have are far better than anything else I could spend the skill points on and after 2 weeks of play I am not super rich.

I'm not impressed. Rather lackluster unique jewels

What happens if your max charges is negative?

Screw unique gems, yellow 4t win.

Dont see any unique giving a decent rare a run for the money. And a good rare will crush the uniques in usefulness.

Conqueror's Efficiency and Intuitive Leap made it in... and the former is a *quest reward*.

Can any rare roll everything on Conqueror's Efficiency? Because it is literally the ultimate SRS jewel.

Most of the gems seem pretty OKayish, dunno why you guys expected "Uber" gems, the game is hard to balance as it is, if they went crazy with the gems it would lose some of it's identity as a tough game imo, and also uniques have been always designed for pretty especific builds, they are trying (at least I guess) to branch up more different builds (if you have a mjolner or a facebreaker that is already melting the current content why would you expect gems to buff your already good build?)
