Why has melee splash higher priority than multistrike or melee phys damage for srs? With multistrike sprits eat through mobs anyway and its a more damage support unlike melee splash.

Nice guide, I've been following it pretty successfully. Respeced out of flame totems when I got to cruel belly of the beast, these spiders are pretty nice. Currently lvl 62, the furthest my char has gone in a hc league.

What masters do you recommend focusing on for this char?

it's no big deal. use whatever you prefer if you only have a 3l. splash gives them aoe dmg i guess that is the easy answer.

doesn't matter much. catarina if ur staff doesn't have cast speed. she can also add some minion mods.

can this build do atziri?

Just dropped Vis Mortis Unique Body Armour in Warbands-is this chest good for this build or is better use high ES chest with Life and resist?

In regards to the recent change in the build (purity of elements for wrath), would'nt it be easier to run a 5L chest and replace lightning penetration with minion resistance support gem ? Does this gem work with spectres ? (first time summoner here)

This way you can continue to run Wrath, which is very useful when mapping in parties since most people don't run the aura and it dramatically improves DPS.

Anyways this build is great as is the guide, clear and concise.

Thanks. The benefit of the aura is it benefits all your minions including zombies. I know they usually don't die, but the extra resists can help if they get cursed or it can allow you to drop the minion resist gem on them. You're right you could just link the resist gem on your spectres, that's a worthy alternate.

I'm getting conflicting reports about Spectre survivability with this spec in high level maps, and its difficult for me to theorycraft because I'm not currently playing the build myself. This is why I also mention when I change the guide that if what you were doing previously was working fine, don't change it.
