[2.0] Angryaa's SRS Minion Summoner.
Edit: Added leveling guide. Edit 2: changed Spectres to Revenants. I think they are superior to Flame Sentinels
Edit 3: Changed aura from Wrath to Purity of Elements on Generosity. This should help with spectres surviving higher level maps. I changed the the skill tree, and you no longer need Conqueror's efficiency. If your spectres are not dying in maps, use the old Wrath setup with Conqueror's efficiency jewel + 18% reservation reduction from the tree. Another option is to still run Wrath but drop Lightning Penetration gem on your Revenanats and use Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance. Watch me live at: http://www.twitch.tv/angryaa Video introduction of the build in action (old): http://youtu.be/ekG2R4CGRMk. Its definitely possible to do this spec as a Templar or Witch, but you lose potential in the super lategame (95+) to stack GG jewels in all the Scion slots. You don't get flame totem as a quest reward, you can either mule it by doing the mud flats quest in Normal with a Marauder or Templar or get a friend to buy one for you. Gear:
Spoiler
You want to use a 5l staff, ideally with +2 to fire gems to buff the damage of your Summon Raging Spirits. If you're rich, a 6l +2 fire +1 all gems is the best possible staff.
You want a +2 minion helm so that your zombies are better tanks. Bones of Ullr are needed for extra spectres and zombies. The rest of your gear ideally should have high life, energy shield, cast speed and resists. A 4L on chest is fine for spectres, but a 5l or even 6l is even better. Endgame Passive Tree: https://goo.gl/x02ysf Points past this go into additional life or jewel sockets. Jewels stat priority is Minion Damage > Minion Resists > Minion Life > Life/ES. Jewels without minion damage should not be used. Gem links: 5l/6l staff: Summon Raging Spirits + Spell Echo + Minion Damage + Melee Physical + Melee Splash. 6th Link is a level 3 Empower or Multi-strike. 4l: Raise Zombie + Fortify + Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance + Minion Life in a +2 minion helm. 2l: Vaal Haste + Increased Duration. 2l: Purity of elements + Generosity. You can have a double 2l in your gloves or boots. 4l/5l/6l: Raise Spectre + Spell Echo + Chain + Minion Damage (5L + Lightning Penetration, 6L + Slower Projectiles). We use Revenants as spectres from Belly of the Beast/The Harvest. Why? Fantastic damage and survivability. One single target fights swap out Chain with Slower Projectiles or Culling Strike. 4s : Arctic Armour + Haste + Convocation + Flesh Offering Rings/extra chest sockets: Desecrate + Summon Chaos Golem + Elemental Weakness + Lightning Warp We use Purity of Elements on Generosity to give much needed resists on our minions for surviving higher level map content. If you happen to be low on resists yourself, remove the Generosity. You want a leveled Desecrate in weapon swap for summoning Spectre corpses. Bandits: Help Oak in Normal. Help Alira in Cruel and kill all in Merciless. Leveling:
Spoiler
Go dual flame totem. It is an excellent leveling tool due to the nature of totems.
Skill tree levels 1 - 20 http://goo.gl/68jtJg Here you race to double totem and get your flame on. Notice how your pathing is very close to your final planned build. Run Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ice for a significant dps boost. Levels 21 - 38 http://goo.gl/mA17An Focus on life and mana, ignore minion nodes for now as they're largely useless. Levels 39 - 50 http://goo.gl/TgbM52 Start working on the nodes that make your SRS more powerful, get the duration nodes and from here on out we start fleshing out the build in preparation for using SRS. Considering mixing in SRS here depending on links and gear, but keep your totems. 51 - 70 http://goo.gl/ES7FVW Spec out of your flame totems and go full SRS (unless your gear is really terrible). Pick up lots of minion damage nodes, roll and use two 15% minion damage jewels. Carry on finishing up the build past 70 by getting the ES/Life nodes, and the EB/ZO/MoM combo when you have over 800 ES. Understanding Raise Spectre level mechanics; zone level matters:
Spoiler
The reason why summoning spectres from highest level zones possible is important is that the level of the zone you summon spectres from (in this case Revenants) matters a TON for making sure their hp and damage is good. Revenants from Normal are too low level to progress you through all of Cruel...but Cruel Revenants are strong enough to progress you all through Merciless. You will want to get into Merciless Belly of the Beast/The Harvest later to get level 70 Revenants for end-game.
Finally, if you summon Revenants from corpses with Desecrate to summon for spectres, the Revenants level is equal to the zone level or the Desecrate corpse level, whichever is lower. This means you should NEVER summon spectres with Desecrate corpses unless you have leveled the gem high enough. For example, if you are in a level 68 zone, but your Desecrate gem summons level 5 corpses, your Spectres will only be level 5 and thus do almost no damage and die in one hit. To target specific corpses when raising your Revenants, press the Highlight Corpse key (default a). Finally, minions update their stats as you change gems/items. This means you can summon some corpses, remove spell echo, summon your spectres and then put spell echo back in and your spectres will get spell echo. I'm almost more interest in the leveling portion :) and your thoughts on flame totem end game? Last edited by Lordsidro#6913 on Jun 27, 2015, 10:55:57 AM

Looks awesome! Pretty pumped about the new aura synergies with double dipping to attacks and spells and thus allowing for different spectres to be used efficiently too. This leads me to my first concern, because getting high level flame sentinels can become very troublesome throughout map progression. So in order to secure spectre dps during the map progression, it might be benificial just to check which other spectres might also be working really good with this build. What comes to mind first are lantern bearers as a swap. Are there any other spectres that would promote usage of Anger instead of hatred?
I mean you could run this with Hatred and evangelists, but I guess we all are a bit tired of that. Just a quick brainstorm: undying incinerators, lantern bearers, even bms should be viable alternatives I came up with. Last edited by jimsen#0522 on Jun 27, 2015, 11:23:12 AM

Very nice build, thanks for posting!
And being rather new player I am very interested to know how to properly level the build, so will be checking for the updates! |

Hi, pretty nice and solid build mate, looking forward to your leveling guide to try this build after next wipe.

4l= vaal haste - flesh offering - increased duration - convocation
2l-2l= anger - generosity // haste - AA this setup is better cuz u use increased duration for all ur usefull skills instead of urs that only increases vaal haste. The only problem that u may have is colouring, but u can swith convocation for haste or aa and then i dont think u will have much trouble colouring(depends on ur gear) IGN: Ariannahh Alf's True summoner: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1322360/page/1 Alf's Only SRS: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1454368 Hideout: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1428672 Last edited by kjksdajk#4421 on Jun 28, 2015, 9:45:44 AM

This is basically what I wanted to do for the new league, but I wonder why you chose flame sentinels over evangelists or those new latern mobs in act 4? The act 4 spectres seem like a very interesting alternative with GMP but I don't know if they cast or attack which makes a huge difference.

This is a great build AA! I just want to know, how exposed are this build to chaos damage? seeing as you won't be regenerating any health make the continuous more of a nuisance?

Been wanting to have a go at SRS for ages - think you've inspired me to finally do it - many thanks & will be following your progress when we go live with interest
