This game started this way. Inflation always happens and then it cools down. It's the best day ever because new items will rise and old items will have their own economy. Time to go back to basics and grind back, buy and sell back, or whatever you got to do. The people crying are those that want their items to stay the top and watch the same items ruin this game over and over. I for one see this game dying with the same mirrored items floating around with nothing new to shoot for. Sorry, but the logic of this like real life is not valid in my mind. The more simple thought is to say life is to short to have the same economy not get rocked and develop a new era of weapons. Like said earlier, it's a risk now as well to those that want to craft with the threat/paranoia that GGG can change values of items at anytime.

Is there a reason why you respond to postings that you did not bother to read? I mean seriously saying one sentence like "This is the best thing ever." over and over again while completely ignoring everything other people try to explain to you is pointless. Like BurakUeda said the mirror prices went higher and higher as we speak (btw eternals do so too). Every endgame crafter is already ready for the new crafting session and most of the richer standard players have enough currency to buy this next generation of mirrored items. This will not hurt any of the top players or crafters. This will not even affect the upper midgame players (they will buy the soon cheaper old mirrored gear). This will only affect the poor and/or casual players. If you feel the need to post "This is the best thing ever." again feel free to do so but at least try to explain why you think this change could hurt the top players like you said more than just a few times now.

Armour? Sux!
Casters defense? Sux!
Melee defense? SUX!
Bow? Best option and best clear speed! Also free kill boss, easy and very super safe.

It is a fresh start to Standard. That's what it is, not much more to explain than the posts I've made and the supporting posts of people here. That is why this definitely the best thing to ever happen to PoE. The only logical thing GGG could change was adding a higher tier to the item base. It is perfect!

I'm not sure how serious this post is or how final but if current BiS gear is going to become just second best. GGG - you're going to loose a lot of your veteran player base that play the permanent leagues, including myself. Working for years towards the kind of gear that I and many other veterans own only to find it loose it's value because there is now better gear is the worst spit in the face you could possibly come up with. I'm hoping I got it wrong but if that's the case - I too am done.
