But I have a question I haven't seen anywhere before:
How does this work in a group? If one person has lock-step mode on and the others don't, won't the game stutter for the whole group when the player with lock-step mode has a high latency? Or is there a point, where you will get logged out to not influence other players?

For some reason this looked like the most anticipated update of the century or something, not for me though, I kinda learned to live with desynch and in 9 out of 10 cases I had issues was with a lockbox.
But yeah I'm mostly happy for all the goddamn trolls/idiots/annoying pricks that brought desynch up on every topic, every forum, every youtube comment, those days will be finally over. I guess it's a matter of time they find something else to blame their deaths on though.

But nice job, kind of sad so many effort had to go in it that could have been used for content.

more interested in improved desynch more than lockstep
but options are good to have. In fact, I like that developing
lockstep LEAD to inspirations that improved desynch in non
lockstep! :D
