The Awakening Item Page and Top-Tier Supporter Beta Access

Nobody paid for beta keys. This is a token of appreciation from GGG to the top tier supporters, a gift if you will. Lord (chris) knows we deserve it. <3

It's ok I'll just test the open beta with the rest of the herd in june when poe 2.0 is released.

We should have the option to opt-out from the beta though.

Checking this thread from time to time, it almost looks like it would have been better to have silent closed beta with NDA in place and do the Hype in standard 3-4 weeks before oficial release, and have some optional league inbetween.

But it would bring other problems, as somebody would break NDA and spread the word over Reddit or other media....

I am still looking forward to see thenew support packs and passive tree planner, so i can support GGG once again and spend countless hours planning what to eploit next.

Chris is something has like a bacc in Commerce if i can remember right, so he knows the basic of marketing, keep you profitable customers happy, especially when it can cost you nothing

I couldn't care less if I don't get in. The problem is the way gagaga does this whole thing. Hyping up the whole community for "act 4 in april" just to say nope when the date comes would have been a dirty move alone, but to top it up they started to use a flawed system inviting all thoose mules created after the announcement, and now fearing that the people who keep pumping cash into the company get mad, they make the access pay2win. This wouldn't be less true if I had access to beta.

It's not Pay2Win but its definitely intentional on their part. This buys them time and attempts build hype by controlling access. The entire premise of this game is that, making you want something more by forcing you to wait for it. Unfortunately GGG always takes it too far, though. I don't really even care much at this point anymore but I've seen it since release, that its the part that hurts them more than anything else. They try and gate the games experiences in order to make it mean more. But they don't do anything about the people exploiting and buying their way to the end-game experience, and even gate the experience further for legitimate players in response to exploiting.

Controlling access to the beta? Whatever. The bigger problem is with them over-controlling the experience and screwing legitimate players. If they don't fix that problem then it doesn't matter how much hype they manage to build, it will all come toppling down again once people play a bit and realize nothing has changed.

Even if I would prefer everyone who spent 1k I'm happy to see heavy investors getting some love. I have neither spent 1k or bought a pack, so I'm not in. 1k is quite a bit cash to throw at a game and company. People should appreciate that they spent this money. If you don't, you are just a jelly prick.

I can now see how GGG wanted everyone to be equal and show that money wont get you anywhere in the game. I feel that a beta doesn't remotely belong in that category and is only an opportunity to give something cool, yet minor, back.

CB + OB = more time than OB to experience the new stuff, so your statement about open beta does not disprove anything I said. And would you explain how is refusing to watch someone else playing = crying & being jelly?

Oh yeah those few weeks are REALLY gonna burn you hard. Alas.. if only you started CB the same time as the big streamers you would've gotten to level 100 first in the next races etc. Oh well.. Yeah man, sorry about that. lol.

To all the people who ae shitting on GGG for giving constant supporter a beta access too.

Just be patient they will add more and more players over time to the beta. There are still over 5 weeks left (minimum). I am really confident that 2nd tier support will be added to the beta over time.

As you can see, I am affected too. I have to wait. But this game is great and GGG earns every support in the world.
