No, the GGG grocery is giving out free apples, free steaks and free orange juice. They announce they will have free Pizza in 6-8 weeks. The people that helped them buy the Pizza oven get to help them test out some of their new pizza flavors, and once they have the right recipe, they will let everyone else have free pizza. In the meantime the beta pizza testers are trying to figure out whether 35 ghost chili peppers are too hot for one pizza.

I am SO pissed off at this announcement..and not at GGG at myself (ok, maybe a little at GGG). I have the money for the Grandmaster supporter pack and was ready to do it then decided to wait for the new packs because I really didn't have any interest in putting a character in the Grandmaster map....and now I'm kicking myself :(

Are certain accounts more likely than others to get in? I've played PoE for 3000 hours.

All accounts have an equal chance of being selected. It's important that we get a mix of new players and veterans. Their feedback and data is equally useful.

You guys used to stick to your word...

Alphas and streamers are reasonable, and obviously it's up t you who you let in. But then don't tell people that they can't buy in to the beta, when you are going to change that just after the last day of supporter packs. Thats's just cheesy.
Especially after hyping up the ppl for release of poe2.0 and announcing a closed beta.

Thanks for the top-tier supporter access Chris. Once these waves have been granted access over the coming days, when you are ready for more testers please repeat this top-tier process for the next lower tier of supporters, and so on.

Us less than top-tier supporters of each supporter pack would appreciate it.

Sampling, done properly, is a great tool for looking at data and finding correlation. It never ever proves causation, even when the standard deviation is in double digits. Experiments with a control group do help determine causation. An experienced/veteran group could be one control. A group of purely new players could be another. A group of expert players could be a control group. The group of supporting players could be another. The group that never supports could be one.

The feedback from the support group would probably be an important data set to GGG. The only other data set possible more valuable would be the group likely to support GGG. Determining who is in that group requires vast data sets, and lots of pseudo experiments.

Determining who that last group is and what might turn them into actual customers is almost the sole purpose of almost all the data mining, collecting and selling done. It is a multi-trillion dollar industry. GGG is not going to crack that cypher with a beta test.

I can't think of a single real world business running Customer Disloyalty Incentives.
