Another thing that boggles my mind is:
Let's add a FUCKING timer that count down every 5 minutes and randomly chooses a player and gives them a beta key. That completely undermines EVERY SINGLE loyal player they ever had on this forum and pretty much is a slap in the fucking face. It's disrespectful to us, and detrimental to their own beta that these types of players are not int he pool as well? Doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever. (Well, we are in the pool but it's random, no tier, or higher chance, etc). It also means they don't believe that loyal players can exist without buying a supporter pack or donating a lot? That is absolute bullshit. I bet you there are hundreds if not thousands of players who havn't donated a single fucking dime but would offer more expertise and knowledge and compassion about the game in beta than 95% of those RANDOMLY selected people in their ENTIRE accumulative beta time. Why use a randomization sampling method when you know DAMN WELL there are hundreds of loyal players waiting anxiously to help your game out. DOES. NOT. MAKE. SENSE. I'm off for a while be back later. Phew, folks are uppity.
The only advantage I see to having a closed beta key in two days is to be able to stop checking to see if I have a closed beta key. Also, I had no idea I'd get an open beta key from being a supporter. I mainly did it for my snapshot, which I actually still need to use. I'll probably just use my key to look at the skill tree. " They need to do a closed beta to test a lot of new things so they don't hand us a broken Act 4. They could not let everyone in at once. They have MULTIPLE avenues of handing out keys. One is if you, IN THE PAST, supported a certain amount so we could even HAVE THIS BETA. Others are random timer, events this weekend, alpha testers and people who have helped PoE become more popular by streaming. All supporters are loved, any amount. I am sure they will do a short OPEN beta so all us CLOSED beta people are at no "advantage".
