I only have one thing to say : It's sad that a unique (Cloak of Defiance) causes changes to EB and MoM. I mean MoM is fine, only a few people take it from the tree, those will obviously be screwed by not even using a CoD... blergh. Could as well just remove that unique and save all the work and frustration by changing EB and MoM...

People don't take the keystone, cause it's position on the tree is cancer.

Btw- CoD is a supporter unique, ask the person who paid good money for it how he feels about his item about to become as desirable as Bramblejack.

I was a player and fan of Magic the Gathering. It was a great game.

I quit playing all together after Ice Age came out because the game seemed to be changing the rules simply for the sake of changing the rules. The players were being played.

I'm getting that feeling about how PoE is being developed too. We're going to get tired of it.

What current form?

These are not implemented yet and everything is on the table.

On reddit he said he would probably have to add a multiplicative ES multiplier to it or maybe some base regen as well as change the way things like arctic armor works.

HUGE advantage to a new beta is they can try totally new things like this without breaking the existing game.

I dont understand how people can not only find no excitement in huge change like this but actually fear and despise them.

Because change, for the sake of changing something is utterly and completely retarded? because it only stresses their inability to balance current content so they need to wipe the board and redraw it killing builds and items people are currently using, just because they can't handle the actual balance? Because it's fucking lazy balancing?

Maybe you should educate yourself more.

They said the reason they are considering this change is because (among other reasons) its hard to balance between EB and non eb especially when nealy 100% of life casters take eb.

In other words its not just "change for the sake of change"

The day casters get a fairly simple and easy way to regain mana, like Attackers get with a simple 2% Mana Leech on gear, we can let EB go. As is, the Mana Costs of spells (especially 5L+), coupled with the high gear/passive requirement to sustain skills, makes this unfair already.

Spell Echo helps mana casters a bit, but I still get to spend around 300 mana per second on some builds, or even more on some (Totems...). You have to have REALLY good gear and spend a lot of points to make that work (and even then, running a max level AA and walking around is hard).

This is exactly the point that most people cannot understand.

If EB didnt exist the way it did they could tune things down change how AA works etc.

Balancing things with current EB in the picture is just fucked, eb will always win against non eb (usually) when we are talking about life casters.

You'r just spitting out random shit at this point. How many like,3-6-8 forum posts per half an hour?

Again, if they were to do THIS, they need rebalance mana costs of like...60% of gems in the game? Totems, Traps, Spells, Buffs such as AA. Do you not think, that doing THIS CHANGE, and than having to rebalance ALL THAT will not cause further issues with BALANCE? They can't seem to figure out what they want to do with cod+aa, do you think they'll be able to feasibly do this last minute change off the top of their heads? You think beta testing for a month will help them with that? I'll tell you now, there will be smart people out there, who will again find a way to make something with best way possible, that will be abusing this change, they will either abuse the fact that you'll be able to stack 2k-3kes on mana and use it for mom to give themselves higher effective hp pool at the cost of picking up life regen and turning it into es regen, or there will be people doing AA in EVERY FUCKING BUILD because its mana cost will (hue hue?) need to be reduced to account for this change?

You'r telling me, i need to educate myself, but you yourself only seem to have a basic grasp of perhaps one or two builds out there, this change, will be, massive, do you understand? it's bigger than jewels in the skill tree. And it's A CHANGE, that wants to bring balance, but will not because of the amount of things that will need to be changed, they will screw it up, and achieve nothing other than further gaps between "good" and "weak" builds.

i know, but everyone is saying that this change would "kill" caster builds

Newer players don't know this, but there was a time in this game when almost no one played casters. Self casters used to be same as melee today, almost no one played them, and they will revert back to this status now.

Why torture yourself to make something really bad barely work, when bow builds work so much better and with significantly less effort required?

it just feels like i'll spend my ES at the beginning of a map and wont get to regen until the very end(because honestly, which casters doesn't use mana long enough to let it recover unless they hurt their clearspeed by A LOT)

This was my first thought as well. Really don't like it from my first impressions. I think the end result is the end of AA/EB/MOM combos which I agree are too powerful atm but I don't think this is the way to go about nerfing it
