A potential change I'm keen to hear your thoughts on
NERFING EB/MoM and CoD they pushing u to change whole gear + build. GGG´s meta --> sell regrets like in Garena servers.

So, how will you benefit by taking EB? I cannot figure it out.
*There will become a certain treshold for clear speed if there is no active regen for ES. This means you have to stop more often. To reduce the 6 second delay timer, you have to spent extra skill points. *If you want active regen on ES, you have to take Zealoth's Oath and/or Ghost reaver; Not only is this bad for your survivability (losing life leech & life regen on a life based build), but you have to spent extra points getting these keynodes. *Total mana regen will be much lower. MoM and AA will take a huge nerf *With the lower mana regen, investing into mana regen will be even more expensive/useless; The time you spending ES untill it's empty you won't benefit from mana regen *You are able to use 100% of your mana pool for auras and use your ES to play with. This is all very devious to make EB work. You have to spent so many points making an EB build work. There is no benefit with this idea. I´m sure you would be better off by going inside the left side of the tree and taking the reduced mana cost nodes and getting a few more max mana nodes. |

Lol at people crying 43 pages even though they do not even know all the changes the next patch will bring along. Let alone if there will be new defense mechanics for casters.

I really like this idea, but I don't like the suggested implementation.
I like the idea of keeping ES as its own thing apart from mana, it's cool thematically and it is more interesting to build a character around than just having a huge pool of mana. EB is such an easy choice now, I like how this would complicate things somewhat when deciding if it's worth it or not. What I don't like is the idea of ES only regenerating if you stop using mana for awhile. Just stopping your game dead for awhile every once in awhile to refill is just a terrible experience. It's hardly faster than taking a portal to town at that point. At least with the recovery time for ES on life you can keep killing things and kiting to let it recharge, but with mana you would even have to stop using your movement skills to allow it to recharge. It doesn't serve as a drawback that comes along with the perks of the keystone, it's a drawback that hamstrings the perk of the keystone itself. Perhaps spending from mana first and ES last would work better, as you'd be able to let it regenerate just by staying above 0 mana for awhile, while still being able to use it as a deep mana reserve. I'm not sure exactly what this needs to work, but I still really like the idea. But as suggested, it's so slow as to be pointless, or too inefficient to be worth spending points to get ZO/GR just as weird mana recovery options. |

I'm willing to test it of course, but I am afraid this will be even more confusing for a new player. I'm unsure. I know I do not like the UI, but maybe I'll get used to it.
I know AA+EB+CoD needs the nerfbat, but I am not sure this is the way to go. |

PLEASE use the beta test and try this out.
Rework how clarity works. Rework the AA mana drain/lvl. Maybe rework zealoths Oath (make it: "Your Life Regen applies to your Energy shiel AS WELL AS your life", giving hybrid builds a good Keystone too). Maybe build in some inherent "faster start of energy shield recharge" onto the new EB. Nothing lost if you try it on the beta servers. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1158669

A lot of us use EB to handle spell mana costs. This could pose issues for that side of things.
Other than that, this just seems WAY too complicated. EB as it is now is a very simple, obvious thing - your ES gets dumped into your mana pool. With this change, all sorts of exceptions and weird things have to happen now… ES regenerates even while using mana for skills (which seems at odds with the blood magic gem and es interaction,) but it doesn't increase your mana regen anymore, Mind Over Matter hits ES first but AA hits Mana only, etc… super messy IMO. I can't imagine this change is the best solution. I'd be a lot happier with a general nerf to the numbers and leaving the mechanics alone - "Eldritch Battery removes ES and provides 50% of your ES as mana."
