A potential change I'm keen to hear your thoughts on
It is a MOM+EB+AA nerf which is following the shield block nerf and the Lightning Coil item nerf/legacy state.
I hope Armour will finally be the best way of physical damage mitigation. Maybe a nerf to CWDT+EC+IC too? |

When they notice something is good and people like to use it more than other defenses, I wish they would try to fix the other defense types that aren't used rather than nerfing things that work. I'm not trying to be cheeky or rude, but this truly seems like a horrible change to EB.
EDIT: Here's a question: " So essentially in this case with Mind Over Matter the ES on the mana takes 30% of damage before life. Isn't that useless? I don't like this at all. It complicates everything and solves nothing. If you think MOM is OP nerf it to 25% or something, but leave huge cost casters alone. I can't even imagine how would Zombie summoning go with this, Desecrate, Flesh Offering, Curses... It pigeonhole us to Curse on Hit, leaving some spells on lvl 1, running away from fights to regen ES.
Not to mention unviability of Ghost Reaver on Summoners (or casters in general, now they would need life and mana leech gem or use warlords mark requiring 160str). Zealoth's Oath is meh too, it's not like we are going to have 2000es (still it won't do much at all). And finally it adds another layer of complexity for new players, monitoring 3 resources, taking care of 3 regens. TLDR: me no like https://www.youtube.com/user/DaidelosGaming/featured

I would keep it as it is. I see that you want to improve some things here, but improving doesnt always mean a change.

Whoever dreamed this up frankly should be fired.
If you really want to drive people away, by all means make casters be 1/2 as effective as they are now. You better be making melee 5 times stronger because that's the only way this makes sense. |

Looks good, almost every caster uses the EB/CoD/AA setup and it makes everything else feel like its just not worth using. I really like the idea of using ghost reaver and EB as a mana pool for melee, and reserving mana for auras.

This is awesome and triggers my tinkering mind immediately. Do not listen to the salty doom and gloomers on the forums. People are too entrenched in their characters and the current tree to see the overall effects. A change like this would be fun and give more opportunities to players.

This would overcomplicate things needlessly and there is basically no real upside to this. Its a huge nerf masked as something cool and new. Mana regen will be much lower aa will suffer a lot no matter how much you rebalance it because you already said your purpose is to nerf mom/aa.
Running skills will be much harder and mom will suffer a lot because that mana regen which will be way lower won`t take care of the ES. We will need much more investment to make es regen. Like what? Waste our defenses on life like regen and leech to make a fraction of our "mana" pool hold up and be usuable ? Even reserving every % of the mana with auras won`t help us because with the regen these kind of builds come we need only 5-10 % unreserved.Now we can have that 100% fully reserved but wtf we will need reaaally big investment to cast with that energy shield. Horrible idea , the es timer is somewhat like 5 seconds , if we want to make it to 2 we will have to spend at least 5 points. Even if it is 2 seconds it would make casters clunky as they would have to wait 2 seconds every 3 hits. Regen even with zealot oath would be super bad unless we had more than 5% and more than 2k es .Again more investment . Leech would totally not be an option. It makes the screen look clunkier , it makes new players be even more confused and it nerfs half or more of the builds out there. Unless you change dramatically how the transfered es works or regens and reduce the mana cost of every damn skill in this game this is the absolutely most unthought , horrible change of all time. Please make any caster build with mom and aa and look at how horrible it is with the new change, then think about it. |
