Auction House idea

No

Reasoning, read pretty much every single reply on why people said no on this thread and the dozens of others.

AH have no place in an ARPG, automation ruins the fun. Even without RMAH the AH in D3 was terrible, if GGG ever did it the backlash from the community would be so high.

Lazy players just want an even easier way to trade. It isn't that hard, plenty of resources out there to help you.

While i read many reply why yes on this thread

Makes ppl lazy? After all these years GGG keep making the games easier just for urgh "Hardworking" players? The quality life improvement not for lazy players? ya rite .... *slow clap*

You know what? Loot filter shouldn't be implemented too ... this make player even lazier to search the wanted item on the floor, removing the original style of ARPG? Rite?? #Kappa
Like many others, I can see all the issues that would come from an auction house. What we really need is an improved vendor system. If I go to any vendor and put my 5L Carcass Jack in the trade window the result is a 1 chrome. We all know that this armor trades for roughly 2ex at 5L.

If GGG were to assign realistic values to all items and we could just sell those items to vendor, currency in the game would be a ton easier to come by. Thoughts?

Comparing loot filter to an AH is much different and I can't believe you are trying to compare them.

We all know that lots of loot drops from mobs, the screen can be super cluttered, I've actually been one of the strongest supporters of a loot filter for a very long time, which goes to prove you just make ignorant claims with nothing to back it up.

I am also a huge supporter for QoL changes, so again if you have no idea someones position on things you probably shouldn't use it as an argument against them.

An AH is not a trade system, but rather a trade system replacement. Not only will GGG never do an AH they don't want trading to be automated, actually I believe they think trading in general is much easier then they ever intended for it to be.

Chris said in the 3 hr video with ZiggyD that they want to make trading and using 3rd party programs safer, not easier. There is no reason to make trading any easier then it is, everyone always mentions all the positives in these threads and ignores every single one of the negatives, which mainly is inflation of value and rewarding lazy players that don't care to invest a few min every day in updating their shops.

From my extensive research into the topic based on forum posts, which we all know to be legit sources of info, and podcasts, the reasons GGG don't want to employ an auction house are:

- Chris played D2 on a LAN back in the day and had fun ripping items off other players in the group, which causes 'loot tension';

Well if that chris is a (Removed By Support), that he's problem. Your loot is your own is the best thing that Blizzard has ever invented.

PoE devs are stuck up as "Diablo 2 era Nerds".

They just riped off FF7 Materia and FF10 Skill Tree, and act like they invented stuff when they did sht.

No wonder this game is just an alternative. They lack vision. They are stuck in their personal limited views.
