Have a few questions about skill/support skill interaction and i hope this is right place to ask.
#1 Does Culling strike kicks in for lighting/poison arrows secondary/passive targets? #2 Approximately which is biggest range for Point blank to do full extra 50% damage to target? #3 When using Puncture and piercing first enemy and hitting second. How does Bleed effect works? #4 How Life Steal and Mana Steal is calculated for normal, AOE, Pierce, Bleed, Poison attacks/damage? #5 When triggering Pierce, how does skill effects apply? #5.1 When using Lighting arrow and triggering Pierce effect, how does AOE from Lighting arrow works and damage is calculated in both situations: a) secondary target is in range(and got hit) by first targets AOE effect. b) secondary target is out of range but AOE from him can only affect targets which already receive AOE damage from first target? 48;49;46;47;58;72;79;83;52;72;52;87;66;87;96;70;86;96;80;89;96;95;90;94;93;83;85;91;95;88;94;92;94;86;83;94;95;95;95;91;94;98;87;88;92;96;89;88;94;96;80;92;94;92;96;84;90;75;86;91;95;94;94;95;95

1) culling strike only applies if skill hits, damage over time will not trigger it. (cloud of poison arrow)
2) 50% more damage is literally in your face, hinted by the name of skill. roughly half the screen left or right is normal damage without projectile speed boosts. 3) all foes hit with puncture will bleed, multi projectiles or piercing work fine. 4) gain on hit and leech effects happen per foe and per hit. damage over time will not trigger leeching, so mixing puncture and a leech support will have no effect. 5a) not sure about the question... piercing doens't have any drawbacks at all unless using point blank, then the distance is the key factor. 5b) slow down lol. each and every primary hit will make splits, then all total hits will trigger leech and on gain effects. if pierce and multi projectiles are in factor, then that is more primary hits, and thus more secondary hits. it is not actually AoE, but now it might as well be. |

Unless otherwise specified, skills that proc'd pierce works exactly the same as hitting a single target.
Exceptions I can recall on top of my head are: Fireball, poison arrow, exploding arrow etc, only the last target will get the exploding damage, pierced enemies receive everything except the exploding damage. Power Siphon gains only 1 charge per cast; killing two at the same time with pierce doesn't give you extra charge. Alice_of_Wraeclast - Dagger CI Witch

I have always been told that damage reduction from armor and resistances don't affect energy shield. However this thread and what someone is telling me now seems to contradict that. Am I correct that armor/resistances don't affect the damage reduction your energy shield takes?
Basically if i have 90% damage reduction via armor and i take 1000 damage, my energy shield would still take 1000 damage correct? Last edited by mysrt#2991 on Aug 14, 2012, 3:44:32 PM

Incorrect mysrt.
The damage reduction from armour and resistances is applied before the damage is removed from energy shield/life. If you have 50% fire resist and get hit for 1000 fire damage, your energy shield will take 500 damage. If you don't have enough energy shield to absorb the whole 500 damage, the rest will be subtracted from your life. |

hey does "enhances crit strike" apply on spells as well as "enhances crit strike for spells"?

Two questions:
What is an 'integer damage bonus'? What are the 'relevant damage mods' for traps? EDIT: Third question - Are mines considered traps? In fact is there a place someone could point me to that has all the info pertaining to traps? I can't seem to find a solid place for information about them. well mines and traps are spells so spell damage boosts effect them, also elemental if there is elemental damage involved. then burning damage for firetrap's damage over time (for the moment till a correction is sorted out).

#1 Does Bleed stack, if so how damage is calculated?
#2 How does rarity find work? Main things Im interested in: Which items it affect, some math compered to quantity find, % increase to drop thing by each rarity point. #3 What are exp penalty/increase for level differences? Does exp gain in party differs from solo play, compered to mob levels? #4 What will happen to bought stash windows after open beta wipe?
