PvP - skills/passives balance/rework

Minion instability lol? There is counters to summoners. Multi conversion trap, spectral throw, poison arrow, RoA, Traps in general, anything that pierces their target. Its hilarious that things like this are even being mentioned when other things arent even close to being possibly countered. Heavy strike not even on the list? come on seriously.

The health pool on summoners outputting reasonable damage is so little they get 1 shot constantly. No one takes their multistrike gem out to fight summoners as well so they constantly proc MI. I think this is a classic case of people QQing just because they dont understand the matchup. The amount of insane gear to make a summoner that can only beat casters and some melee class is absurd compared to other gear. Also using like 5 lvl 2 empowers? the cost in the gems is beyond any other build by far.


Lets not nerf things like this when 2 people play them? Summoners are in a good spot and are barely viable for anything other than team battles. When they become as rampant as tornado shot puncture traps, facebreaker cycloners, facebreaker shield chargers, facebreaker anything, or moltenstrike/heavystrike sword and board, then I would start to worry. Right now there are far too many complaints to be muddying the waters with ideas like nerfing EE and MI lol. People throwing around terms like "Uncounterable" without even entertaining conversion trap is a huge clue. Far too many people without the proper experience trying to balance the game. I dont think its even a matter of peoples own intentions to gain awards/win tourneys as much as people just being frustrated and praying for mega nerfs to anything that beats them.

nerf everything and then this please.


You guys must not have too many OP molten strikers on hc, I've been feeling the wrath of what high end molten strike feels like on sc lately, way way stronger than heavy strike. I switched in anticipation of a nerf haha

molten strike/heavy strike RT mara sword/board won the last swiss tournament. I think molten strike is OP but the mechanics of the skill are more easily avoided since a majority of the damage is avoidable. I hate heavystrike because if u even block or get hit 1 time on a character thats not a tank you are immediately desynched.

I share my two cents about this matter (LLD PvP balancing)

I agree that Cyclone and Tornado Shot are too dominant skills. I don't see that Molten Strike is that big of a problem, but it could use some tuning (maybe).

My main complaint is support gem called Multistrike. When it was first introduced to the game, I wondered why in the earth it had level 19 requirment. It is arguably more powerful gem than Faster Attacks (level 31 requirment) and yes, I know it is usable only by melee characters.

Multistrike gives absurd attack speed bonus and causes some desync. My personal opinion is that increase the level requirment to 31 and maybe lower the Faster Attacks level requirment. This would make the combat a bit more slower paced and gives chance to slower characters to fight back.
That's actually a really good suggestion, the only problem I see with removing multistrike is that flicker + multistrike is virtually the only way to keep up with quivksilver bowers/blink/mirror.
@RaivokasMagma : Indeed a solid observation, but as bigfoot312 said without it melee are really powerless against ranged toons. Also making it 31lvl will somewhat affect pve, and thats not a good idea.


On a side note i want to clarify something about minion instability : the point i wanted to emphasize in the OP was that my problem with this ability is the unblockable/undodgeable part of it.

How exactly increasing level requirment of Multistrike would affect PvE? You can just use it later in the game.
