I think just the nerf on Inpulsa's, fixed 5% hp dmg on kill still good. Our aoe was over the needed on endgame IMO.

I agree. if I read this correctly, instead of the 5 to 10% it's now fixed at 5%. No big deal. Glad that ARC itself wasn't nerfed. This is minor. I'm definitely going with this build on Friday.

This is good to hear. I'm fairly new and played a Jugg the past few weeks. This seems like a great change of pace and was hoping it would still be good come 3.5. Is it Friday yet? :)
Master Enki show us the path \o/ update your holy script and lead us to the new league!

Generally speaking Inpulsa being nerfed is the only negative to the build, and I agree it is mute end game. We clear fast, max 5% explosion still will clear fast.

Storm brand may replace Orb of Storms; Enki will take a look at it once he gets back, and really only game testing after launch will tell the viability. I know people have mentioned the possibility of a staff with OoS in it.

@Enki: In your previous build you path through Spell Critical Strike Change on your way to the Lightning nodes. If you path through Lightning Walker you can for the cost of 1 skill point get:

+52% lightning spell damage
+15% lightning resistance
-10 strength
-40% increased critical strike chance

Obviously this is only viable if we still end up with Elemental Overload and the tree doesn't change too much there.
What are the benefits of self-casting over traps/mines/totems?

It's more fun?? That's about it but this build is sufficient for pretty much anything you'll want to do in Betrayal. It's a great league starter build and can do end-game with investment.
As the patch notes for 3.5 is out, I wonder if there is any effect on this build? Since I am new to this game, the only thing I can notice so far is the nerf of Inpulsa (5-10% explosion damage reduced to 5% fixed). I would assume this is not a big deal?

Inpulsa's nerf is definitely noticeable, but it's not the end of the world. The build is still good.
It has an upside too, it's easier to get a decently rolled inpulsa's now :D

Oh I forgot Tempest Shield is now instant. I can see this working very well with Arcane Surge to get both buffs on an instant cast. I could see Tempest Shield, Arcane Surge, Curse on Hit, Enfeeble being a reliable 4L if we keep a shield.

You have to be a bit more proactive about it, and curses will require you to block, but I don't mind.

Also if I remember right, there was a +1 curse veiled mod. That could be useful for adding in Conductivity.

So happy to see that this build is unchanged. It was my ssf league starter in Delve and I'm planning to use it again in Betrayal.
