Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page
" Newb here, came back looking for some kind of elementalist build, found this one, and would you look at that? It carried me into the end game. One shot Lich in Delve, one shot Shaper both times i trudged to him, and if I had kept playing, likely would've one shot elder as well see as I had little to no difficulty with anything in the game when I was playing with my brain. The build is great and once you understand how it works it treats you kindly. Maybe try it yourself instead of pandering to the masses. Your friends were right and you were wrong, plain as day bub. Fun fact also, game really isn't that difficult, just has some convoluted factors to it that get lost when you are starting out. |

I also started playing POE for the first time 3 weeks ago(i'm coming from this other franchise that went mobile, so i am quite familiar with arpgs).
I've been loving this build and pew pewing among higher maps, 300+ delve and elder, shaper(i am working on summoning the uber elder and trying it out). I can say the spec feels squishy, but when you get used not to get hit there is no problem. I have a question tho? I have removed my clarity gem and i am looking for something to replace it(it was on the link with lvl7 cwdt and lvl10 enf). I have added vortex there(no idea if this is viable), any suggestions of that will be good(i want more defensive focus). Also im using doryani's and saw you mentioned cerberus is better? isn't the elemental dmg better that spell dmg(due to inpulsa explosion not scaling with spell) and also the life leech from doryani's? I guess cerberus will give some more energy shield, but idk? And last, but not least. Thanks for making this awesome guide. I had 0 issues understanding what i need to do, even that this was my first time playing this game. |

Will you make new build for arc witch after betrayal comes out and approximately when?

" I started this build about a month ago and quite enjoyed it. For replacing Clarity, I’d go with tempest shield. Equip it to one of the CWDT setups, and you can have a permanent 3% blocks buff with the bonus of a lightning glow on your shield. There are also several useful offensive. Lightning spells, Ball Lightning comes to mind as a generally good one. I can’t say what is better between Doryani’s and Cerebrus, but one thing I noticed is the Inpulsa’s explosions are only good for trash, and trash is easy to kill. They only help on bosses if (1) boss has adds, (2) boss can be damaged during add phase, and (3) add is in range of explosion. Generally speaking for damage, bosses are a more important factor. Finallly, life leech. Make sure you have it, but after that higher does not always mean better. A single damage will always heal for 2% of your maximum life each second. The duration is based on damage (I.e. a 10,000 damage at 100 life (5,000 hp character) will remain for 100 seconds OR until the target reaches max life OR until the duration is refreshed. Total leeching has a maximum of 20% life per second. Remember, all leech durations end once you reach maximum life, and you will have to reapply each individual stack. If you increase the damage leeched, you increase the duration per stack. If you increase the maximum leech rate, you increase the 2% per stack. If you increase the maximum life per second, you increase the 20% cap. Last edited by Aldonés#1294 on Dec 4, 2018, 9:30:14 AM

" You can use Lightning spire trap + added lightning damage + trap and mines damage + advanced traps support for single target DPS while leveling. Today I got from lvl 1 to act 10 kitava kill in less than 8 hours (with 2 labs and all the passives points quests, lvl 63). It's not super fast, I barely know the layouts, but good enough for me. 4-link arc + 4-link spire traps works very well together. Also, I like more offensive tree that is recommended in the guide while leveling with late MoM unlock, but it's personal preferences. " Yes, my first uber elder kills was with cerberus limb and about 300k shaper DPS (enemy is chilled, enemy is shocked recently, enemy is shaper/guardian in PoB) " Depends on a player really. Delve was my first league, my first uber elder kill was with this build. I killed depth 450 Anhu, depth 570 Krugal and depth 340 Aul with this build and overall got to depth 819. Aul mods were "12% penetration, 30% extra damage" and every skill was a oneshot for me, I had to dodge everything and spend about 50k sulph with ~700 sulph per try to kill him :D It's not weak, but it's pretty expensive to get a decent single target DPS from arc for end game content. p.s. I probably gonna start with this build again if GGG didn't nerf it into oblivion. Last edited by blg_RealiZe#1295 on Dec 4, 2018, 9:57:43 AM

I am considering this build for league start but am wondering how the changes to "stat sticks" will affect this build? I assume the guide will be updated after today's patch notes to reflect those changes? Heres hoping, this build looks great.

" from what we see in "balance manifesto", stat sticks nerf doesn't affect spell casters at all. But we have to wait untill actual patchnotes release to be sure. |
|
This build was a blast to play in Delve. I really enjoyed it!
Might go this build again in the upcoming league :-) |
|
I hope GGG wont nerf it in betreyal it seems like a build i realy want to play next league.

" It would require a much larger change in order to affect casters. Spells have innate pros and cons and are not gated behind weapon requirements. Patch notes will show for certain, but I highly doubt they would (1) mention the stat stick presumed nerf and (2) mention there are no significant changes to self-casting, while hiding a change of that magnitude from the manifestos. Give it a few hours and the patch notes will be out. Oh, and don’t expect the guide to be updated today. If Enki does I would expect another update to shortly follow before release Friday.
