Content Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes, Deployment Timeline and Official Path of Exile Twitch Channel

So they said they are working on helping meele builds,I can see they are doing good job....
Basically when I finally managed to make good meele char, where i don't die 24/7 from random source of dmg,and build which can be at least 75% as good as some ranged, they come up with this patch.
And no I dont give a fuck about pvp,or new leagues,we are talking about patch in general affecting standard and hardcore leagues and thats the main concern here + what fuckin uniques can help meeles when they only nerfed stuff ,counter gems ? Smells like pvp oriented and I don't need that shit.
Even if some uniques help playing the game like u play it for the first time sucks fkin ballz.Yes I can play new league try out stuff, but what for play goddamn game when each patch i gotta create new char cos previous one became useless as fuck, first my elemental wander now my meele shadow ..
Fuck off with this retarded patches.

okey, okey... i'm just kidding, poe is an awesome game!! i'm just a little bit disappointed.

"You people take that ripped apart to far really, MAYBE if you open your eyes you will see that It is not that big of a deal"
yeah yeah..i know ^^
I like the changes overall.

One thing I dont get is the marauder starting area. He lacks identity imo. He will be super boring and uinterresting to play if u go for a "pure" marauder build. Right now u can decide if u turn him into a templar style char or a duelist style char. I dont see much of a reason to start a marauder at all. What the marauder needs is unchallenged single hit damage with slow attack speed, but as for Duelist you can get nearly the same dmg with a shit ton of attack speed. The templar offers absolutely insane phys to elemental damage scaling, which the new support gem will prob. support alot. (Static strike + Physical to lightning.) The templar is going to be able to hit absolutely insanely hard and get status effects on enemies by scaling a SHIT TON of WED and elemental dmg, combined with penetration and chance to do status effects, downside is that it might be hard to support him with blood magic, but he does get reduced mana cost to compensate. That seems to be the challenge for templars.

The marauder just seems so boring and uninterresting in comparison that I dont get why people would play him. At least he has some crit now, which is really the only interresting stuff I can find on his tree other than lava lash, which is still VERY nice for niche builds, but this nods can STILL just be grabbed by templars, and grabbing this node makes you play like a templar should anyways.. The axe and sword nodes are cool, but.. they just make you spec into duelist afterwards in most cases. The Mace nodes can be grabbed by templars anyways.

Marauder seems like he doesnt even need to be in the game with current state, because templar and duelist can just grab the same stuff anyways.. Thats just my opinion, and of course there are prob. some niche builds with him anyways.

So much hate for this patch, hope it changes once they play it.

Ziggy made a good point that there wasnt anything really "positive" in the patch notes like a small buff to a less used skill or something to get people excited about a new build.

Remember when they made a "small buff" to ele/fire damage? Snoring bond happened.

Hi everyone!

I played a lot of Diablo (all parts), similiar clones (I faintly remember a hilarious korean one...) and of course WoW as well.I'm not really into PVP, because i usually suck at it^^

I'm sorry , but I can't understand the people here QQ'ing so much.

Given that I'm fairly new to PoE, I lack to see where new challenges can be bad for a game, especially as repetitive as a hack'n'slash game can be. Atm I enjoy finding the nooks and crannies of my witches build and how to improve them, so the patch gives me more to play with^^

I like the work of GGG and what the devteam does for the community. I like to play "Diablo as it should have been" and I sincerely love to raise new characters, allthough I like high-tier play a lot.

The complexity of the skilltree gives me more options than any game of this kind before and the necessity to adapt to the changes keeps me on my toes. Makes for a pretty good metagame if you ask me ;)

I can't dislike this game, no matter what^^

Thank you Chris and GGG for putting so much effort into this and keep it F2P and yet not P2Win^^. I'll support your cause because it's what I like in a game.

Keep it up, guys!

People all focused on balancing notes, and ignore the great bits:

- PvP Daily's is now a thing!
- PvP Season Rewards
- 2 new major gameplay systems (1 per challenge league)
- New Skill tree
- New Gems
- New Uniques
- Less Master Leveling grind
- Leo's PvP-ness

Or
1/2 They don't care about PvP and by extension the rewards.
3 They may not ever do temp leagues.
4 They have seen the new tree and are disappointed.
5 They have seen the new gems and are underwhelmed.
6 It's hard to get excited about some uniques they haven't seen. The one unique that they spoiled is alright, but is hardly worth drooling over.
7 They may have already leveled their masters.
8 And as far as Leo is concerned, see the first point.

Personally I am #1,2,4,5,6 and 8. On top of this I have to rebuild every one of my characters that are above level 45. many of the items I saved up for and traded for are now worthless to me and I have to start nearly from scratch even on most of my high level characters to make them at all useful. Do you see why I am unhappy? The patch hjolds little of note for me and screws me over hard. Maybe if i had 100 Mirrors just lying around so I could re-gear willy-nilly whenever I want I wouldn't care, but when you spend you first 6 months in this game building up to a build that is worth playing just to have it ripped apart like this you get pissed.

You people take that ripped apart to far really, MAYBE if you open your eyes you will see that It is not that big of a deal, none of the nerfs are GAME BRAKING for any build, lowered damage does not mean it is ripped.

i have a.. no, wait... I had a Max Block Infernal Blow build that used Aegis and Seige taker. it is the most expensive build i have ever had. Yes, it was an amazingly effective damage mitigator. Was it an overpowered screen clearer? hell no!! At lvl 80 it had a 9K tool tip unbuffed and 14K buffed. Do you kjnow what it would have now if i were to go back to max block? 4.5k/7K. Does that sound like it isn't ripped?

It was a slow clearer to begin with, but it was the only way I could afford to use a melee in higher level content. Armor stacking is useless, I tried it on a couple of my marauder builds. it's good for clearing the storyline, but useless for anything past lvl 70 maps. I admit I did not have the best gear in the game and that those with all the GG gear can probably pull it off, but that is not gonna be me.

Now I have to rework my witch as she was an EB/MOM non-crit arcer who's only defense was AA/CoD. Now AA gets nerfed and CoD gets nerfed. guess how much armor she has at lvl 77? less than 400. that's ~35 damage reduction. Since +End charge nodes are no where near witch I have a maximum damage reduction of 15% with my CoDT set. All my energy shield is converted to mana so all i have is the 2500 life between me and the graveyard. GGG took 10% damage reduction from CoD and 28 flat damage reduction from AA. I cannot run this build in anythng where I can't kill mobs before they get to me. With a non-crit arcer that's most stuff. It is ripped. Oh and the currency spent on theCoD (garnted it's only a 5 link) is basically gone.
The main game is meant to be played like this:

1.) Play the new league, acquire wealth and fun, see how far you can go, push yourself.
2.) Wait around in dumpster league for another new league, trying weird combos and fun.
3.) Repeat. Push yourself harder next time, much fun.

Balancing the game for standard dumpster? Not going to happen.

I like the new leagues and I am excited for the changes~ Crit Multi needed a nerf, same with block, quit your crying ya babies.
If you stand next to a double boss Corpse-Explosion, you're gonna have a bad time. RIPKRIPP

I disagree. None of the nerfs are game breaking for the FOTM builds, but for the slew of medicritity, I'd hazard a guess at about 25% of them just became instantly unviable and another 50% of them on top of that require reworking and/or (more) uniques just to stay above water.

And FYI: lowering damage does mean ripped, actually... If buffing the damage can make something viable, the opposite must also be true.
