Content Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes, Deployment Timeline and Official Path of Exile Twitch Channel

Using UTC shouldn't really be a problem for a programmer's company ;)

I'm worried about the remaining gap between melee and ranged, still CoC, crit and block nerfs were required.

For those that are missing content this patch (besides PVP), don't forgot 1.4 will be the release of Act IV!

But seriously, anyone with two brain cells to rub together should understand why these changes benefit the game. So I'd be surprised by the rage, if people hadn't stopped surprising me long ago...

Act 4 might be the first time we see these new challenge leagues pushed into the main game. But right here, right now, we get to learn these new mechanisms.

People all focused on balancing notes, and ignore the great bits:

- PvP Daily's is now a thing!
- PvP Season Rewards
- 2 new major gameplay systems (1 per challenge league)
- New Skill tree
- New Gems
- New Uniques
- Less Master Leveling grind
- Leo's PvP-ness

test the pvp first then say its greate, its a pve game, nothing else is possible except low level pvp what is kind of fun for a couple minutes already now.

new skill tree???? i guess we had one. the same to all the other stuff

Melee died a long time ago. When they introduced the most unfitting mechanism to the game that calls itself "permanent allocation". Think about it.

But you wanted this. You wanted it to be less frustrating. More Casual. Now Gobble up.

1. That is called marketing. And not "fan boys" but people who played the game for a long time and stream so they know how to keep the attention for the full hour. You couldn't talk for 5 minutes because your arguments would be OMG GGG SUX PATH OF NERFS.

2. They are working on a trading system, they had an idea, didn't like it and went against it. Stash management is kinda touched on in this patch but they have some server - client issues about loading the full stash so they can't do more atm. Guild management is also worked on I think. So read a bit, watch the podcast then come and talk shit.

This is the danger with describing the key content in advance - that the 8 new gems, 26 new uniques and such are already old news when considering the balance changes. There are plenty of awesome new builds, especially now that there's more parity between them. I'm personally excited to make a level 28 Raging Spirits PvP character and a Static Strike Templar as my regular character. Seems like it'll be two Templars for me this league :P


So you seriously gimp all forms of feasible defence (Shields, AA, CoD) and don't add any other way to survive and we are meant to rejoice?! Are you kidding me? This game is now 100% grind as we won't be able to get past act bosses until we are 15 levels above the zone they are in now.

Did you even for 1 second think about the impact this has on new players? The first time I had to fight your revamped Merveil in 1.2 I died ~20 times!!!! how does that make the game fun? Thank god it was in Rampage and not in the HC league.

I understand you are trying to make things more interesting on high-end content like Uber Atziri, but when you screw over the guy just trying to get to a point where he can enjoy the game you are gonna lose new players so fast.

Piss poor update.

PS. it has nothing to do with the "good" stuff being known already. it has to do with the complete lack of good stuff. period. This is not a patch. It's an all around nerf to the game. Patches add things to the game. All this does is take away from the game.

As someone who doesn't give 2 hoots about pvp and never has (and I know I'm NOT alone in that particular boat, that leaves us with:

- 2 new major gameplay systems (1 per challenge league)
- New Skill tree
- New Gems
- New Uniques
- Less Master Leveling grind

With the middle 3 being substantially underwhelming, and the former is only looking half good (not excited about bloodlines at all. Looks aggravating more than anything.). Don't get me wrong, stoked for the masters grind getting un-dulled, but for non-pvp'ers, there was a lot of nerfs here to a LOT of builds that weren't flavour of the month, and not a whole lot to offset that.

Yes, I expected these few leagues to be shittier in prep for act 4, but so help me if act 4 doesn't come in inducing spontaneous orgasms and spewing chocolate, I'm gonna be a very unhappy camper.

80% less damage for CoC ... going to have to play it to see the actual impact but if 80% less damage is a small adjustment I would hate to see what a large one looks like.

This patch would have been the perfect time to introduce a wet noodle mtx! ;)
