I dislike pvp, I play path of exile because I love the pve.
This new tree is poor, disappearance of critical chance with one hand weapons and the critical nodes are nerve.
I think there are more important that change the tree every 3 months, work on the bugs, added new maps for the end game, revisit the mana cost of some gems, like for example power siphon among others that requires too much mana.
In short I do not play these leagues, we see for the 1.4

I understand you are trying to make things more interesting on high-end content like Uber Atziri, but when you screw over the guy just trying to get to a point where he can enjoy the game you are gonna lose new players so fast.

PS. it has nothing to do with the "good" stuff being known already. it has to do with the complete lack of good stuff. period. This is not a patch. It's an all around nerf to the game. Patches add things to the game. All this does is take away from the game.
People like you always amuse me. You have problems with killing Merveil and talk about game balance and "patched stuff" defense mechanics etc. Dude get a Kaltenhalt or whatever it is called (1 alch every league) craft some cold ressi, maybe even take it beyond and 4link a gem so it does some damage for "Merveil" the killer :P.
Let me guess you just bought an Acuity also?

GGG i know the game is free and u are trying the best you can do but this patch is wrong, just wrong
i've spent lots of money to support this game cause i love it - i dont wanna see it getting ruined
in future updates try when u are making a balance to affect the new,the poor and the rich people all together not just one of them.

Ok I also died a few times at merveil. And yes she is harder then before. But did she get anything insainly new and strong? Her strongest attacks are the ice barage and the ice bombard skill, but those are nothing new. On normal you can still tank her quit well with 50 % cold res.
But so far the patch notes looks good. Defense mechanics except armor, evasion and es where nerfed or got more expensive in case of passive points. But also the bonus you get by successfully blocking got increased. I think it is ok bot I also never played a max block char. I used the shields mainly for there bonus in armor, evasion, es and res, and not so much for block.

Well, I guess you'll learn for next time. Nerfs first, awesome news soon-ish after, tree after that so longs as there's enough time to react to tree feedback.
Also, SRS in LLD? I'm no LLD expert but that sounds like a lot of flask charges for your opponent.

People like you amuse me. You act like everyone knows everything about this game, yet if you had the reading comprehension of a 6 year old you'd see I was a new player at the time. Also, as masters were just introduced crafting cold res was not as easy as you make it seem. Yes, I could re-roll a magic ring with all 7 of my Alts in hopes of getting ~12 cold resist.
Let me guess you never play temp leagues or even start a new character and you sell acuity sets.
And no, I don't have Acuity. i couldn't even begin to afford an acuity. I don't play 900 hours a month. I have a life and a job. I have managed to put together a few builds with ~40 Exalt worth of currency and now ~30 Exalts worth are no longer useful to me or most people. Maybe I'll get 10 Ex for them at some point down the road. That means that half of my net worth in the game is gone. Not frivolously misspent or gambled away. It was effectively stolen from me.

You people take that ripped apart to far really, MAYBE if you open your eyes you will see that It is not that big of a deal, none of the nerfs are GAME BRAKING for any build, lowered damage does not mean it is ripped.

Never had much issue with lag unless I failed to notice an "other allies cannot die" aura or if there was a shrine making the mobs very tanky.
Instead of lag if I proc too often the server just disconnects me instead. I rather have the lag. :(
