So what were you forced to reconsider about the passive tree and in what direction is it heading now?
I think the major pb is the finalisation of the new passive skill tree, because the actual in 9.2 is more than a advantage for pure stat char to turn hybrid.
For exemple, take 2 char lvl 100, one pure stat like the marauder and an other hybrid like the duellist:
First, if all put all their passives in only strengh, they will have :
Marauder : +800 str, +200 dex, +200 int
Duellist : +600 Str, +200 dex, +200 int
So, on the str, an hybrid char should never be more thna 75% than a pure stat, here that's ok, but on the other statn there is no more advantage to be an hybrid.

Now, if tha marauder turn on dex at lvl 75, at lvl 100, he will have :
+650 Str, +250 Dex, +200 int

We can see that a pure stat turning on hybrid was more powerfull (on stat retribution) than an hybrid, so hybrid was useless.

So making a good rebalancing of all this system should take a bit of time. I hope this why the delay the deployement of the patch.
I fear, it could take additional 6 months to balance PoE properly. So a release is not in sight.
I fear, the most potential customers will be forced to play diablo 3, because diablo 3 will be released a way earlier than poe. Even if a gamer doesnt really want tp play d3 and want to play poe, he will be "forced" to play d3 if there is nothing else on the market.

PoE seems to be in a really initial development stage, it could take 1 year or longer before a final version is possible.

On the news page were no actual news for almost one month... its just sick if you ask me.

The simple fact that we tend to compare D3 with Poe is an accomplishment in itself, considering GGG doesn`t have anywhere near the financial resources a company like blizzard has.. i am quite exited about this game and eager to get new content, but we should be patient with these guys, we are the ones who will benefit from it in the end.
