That is my idea, yet unifinished so that I can add all the essential things I've surely missed, according to your experience. I'm really very low in the game, so I am still in time to do a lot of corrections.

Please help me, any response will be greatly appreciated =)

Crit and Fire don't go together, fire gets almost nothing from crits. There is already a really good fire/summoning build somewhere on the forums, shouldn't be to hard to find.

Crit scales badly with fire due to the DoT not stacking, if you wanted to roll purely fire I'd suggest starting templar and just stack all the fire damage nodes and build up quite tanky because you don't have to worry about crit chance in the slightest.
If you roll witch instead I'd probably be better to roll fire/summoner because of the lack of CC which ice gives you.

I've played a fire templar in CB and they do hit very hard, just remember to build up your defensive stats or you can sometimes get overrun without the waves of constant CC coming out.
Hey, I'm planning to use this build and I have a couple of questions that you might be able answer.
1. What is your crit chance?
2. Theres 60% extra crit rate for 3 points I can see. Why not take these?

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the advices, it was just what I needed.
I'd like to go for the witch. Fire/summoner sounds good. What should I take instead of the Critical then? I am really confused about where to put that points without wasting them!

Been playing in groups, so I have not focused to heavily on crit, so my crit is around 30% on freezing pulse. If I were to go for more crit (such as gear), I could get around 50 easily.

Regarding the 60% crit chance, read the bloodthirst section.

Shib, is there enough CC in this build? This is Ice Crit Witch (ICW)! There are really only 3 sources...top node for spells only, then left and right but that's probably pretty late game. At the same time, there is a circle of 15% CCs down near the ES nodes, but no big payoff on taking them, unfortunately.

You really think everything else trumps those? I'm finding in my early game play-through, I feel a bit short on mana and a good amount short on CC. Freezing Pulse is not stopping the baddies most of the time, again this is very early, < level 20.

Lunicuss where are you seeing 60% crit. for 3 points? There are the 15% trees, but that's 15x3 = 45% crit.

key items:

I was thinking about posting a section on ghost reaver, but I wasn't sure whether or not it is useful/worthless.

So a few questions to you:
1)How much life leech do you need to make it worthwhile?
2)Can you "tank" more mob hits this way, or do you run around just as much as if you do not take it.

On a side note, you can also take better pathing. Save a node or two.

Sorry, I haven't checked witch section for a while. As for your questions,
1) 4% or higher.
2) I do not run around when I do maps unless it's against heavy hitting mobs(2k+).
Although it might be a bit gear-dependent, it is definitely more efficient to farm maps with since you don't have to run around waiting for shield to recharge. Here is the stats I run this build with:

5000-6000 ES should be easily achievable with a few high ES pieces.

I don't get that with leaving Bloodthirst. Especially that one on the way to the shadow part of the skill tree. If you build a witch without CI but with life/energie shield you take that fitness node on the way to the shadow part. From there it's 3 points to the Bloodthirst passive. 3 points for 60% increased crit chance.
But you must also invest 3 points to get to Doom Cast. 3 points for 60% more crits. You never question these 3 points to get to Doom Cast but you say: Avoid Bloodthirst. So I don't get that: 3 points for 60% more crits is a must have and 3 points for another 60% more crits must be avoided and doesn't help the build?

Is there a difference between Doom Cast and other sources of crits beside Doom Cast only works with spells? Apart from that I couldn't explain that.

It is actually TWO points to get doom cast. You will already have the first int node if you go for CI/Natural calm/Fitness

I most likely will redo the bloodthrist section, as a ton of people don't understand the "it's up to you" part.

No. In your own basic Hybrid (Health/ES) build you need 3 points for Doom Cast. You don't need the int point, because you don't get CI, and you reach Natural Calm and Fitness via the Might point and the life node.

So the Doom Cast crit chance is really no other drit chance than normal crit chance (for spells)? Ok, than that doesn't really make sense to avoid Bloot Thirst but go for Doom Cast.
