[2.2] Guide for Life based Crit Dagger Reave

thanks for the gear update!
Hi.
I would like to use this build but with a claw rather than a dagger. I would be replacing the dagger nodes with nearby claw nodes. Will it work?
Claw nodes are inherently weaker than Dagger nodes. You can modify this build into a claw spec, however the performance of the build will suffer significantly.

I've found Added fire and WED give me 120K tooltip, while FA and ICD give me 100K, not sure if I'm better off having a higher physical damage portion, but I think 100K tooltip with a much larger physical portion might be better than mostly elemental, any thoughts?

IncCritDmg is no longer the #1 must have gem it once was and lost it's spot to gems like Multistrike or MeleePhysDmg/ MeleeDmgOnFL. Especially since you already have plenty of crit multi on your gear (abyssus + maligaro's), using IncCritDmg seems like a wasted slot. Added fire is generally a very weak gem so I would not advise to use it. The best option is probably FA + either IncAoe or MeleeDmgOnFL.
Regarding the phys/ele balance: Physical dmg is superior to ele dmg, however you should not scale it beyond the point that you 1-shot yourself to reflect. Since you already wear Abyssus, further scaling your physical dmg seems actually very dangerous, so you need to test out yourself how far you can push your phys dmg and which gem combination is the best.

I've scaled my physical damage to an extreme extent because I run self-cast IC and it have an extremely long period of physical immunity on demand.

Melee Damage on Full Life isn't really an option for me since I run blood rage for both an offensive buff and the leech and I'm already using Faster Attacks and Vaal Reave (which does iAoE's job).

Here's my final gear set with all gems socketed: I run quite a different setup, extremely offensive in comparison.

And my passive tree: Link

I guess at this point I don't really need any more advice since I've decided on what I want to do, but I hope this post demonstrates an alternate way to play reave, I might even make a write up of my own.

Evidently 100% is the only amount considered "Full", if you wan to run blood rage with it, you have to go CI, you can check my post above, I don't use MDOFL but I use blood rage and I get ~120K DPS with a perfectly average dagger.

Vaal Reave is not even compareable to inc AoE. Vaal Reave does need a build up time, while iAoE doesn't (and it also works for evey attack unlike Vaal Reave, where you have to maintain the charges to eep the AoE). Since this build is capable of 1-shotting packs endgame, every attack needed to "build up" the vaal AoE could be another killed pack and goes wasted.

Your level is quite low and everything works at that point. I can guarantee you that once you become dependant on a stable build, your build will look much more like my version again.

I don't use Bloodrage since the 3 Frenzy charges don't have any impact DPS wise (while MeleeDmgOnFL is one of the best DPS gems available) and the leech is really superfluous.

i thought the same to you OP, but my normal ping is about 250 300, it's a little hard to maintain my HP full while combat, it's only full back after i clear the mobs, so to me MDOFL is a waste somehow

btw, my crit is 67% 376%, and i have 2 glove, 1 is rare and 1 is maligaro, which one should i use?

maligaro pushs up to 71% crit and faster attack speed 5%
meanwhile the rare glove gives 220 HP total and 6% acc, and some res

maligaro also gives 7k dps more than rare glove, but i love HP for safe :p
