7 Aura EB Summoner:

I just use pots for regen. You need at least one instant potion and a quick silver to run when you need to.

Flicker strike and Leap Slam are the only mobs that can get to you by going over your summons. Pierce on snakes with LMP and chaos can also be a problem.

I just constantly move for leap slam. to begin with this was not easy but now it is habit.
For flicker strike, discharge guys that you find in sewers. As soon as you hear the flicker sound, run back and let the minion take the hits and explode.
For LMP Snakes with pierce and chaos, same as leap slam just move around.
Caster mobs that do Ice/Fire/Lightning are not issue at all since you have good resist.

You know how Brutus dose that chain grip and you can go side to side to avoid it all. practice that on snakes too.

Yesterday i logged on this summoner to play a bit and, i did the 77-78 level in 66-68 maps and never once did i go below half life.

Okay, I guess it won't be too bad then.

But I've still been looking at ways I can go in my tree now, I'm thinking heading into the Templar area might be more beneficial than the 9x8% health nodes in the middle.

This would be my build right now if I got EB:

This would be if I go to the health nodes in the middle next:

16 points for:
- +72% health
- +70 STR

But this would be if I go to the Templar area instead:

16 points for:
- +62% health
- +30 max health
- +1% health regen
- +44% ES
- +44% armour
- +10% resists
- 20 INT
- 20 STR

Thoughts? Actually listing what you get out of that option makes it seem much better to me now. And with Vitality it would allow me to regen near 30% health every 10secs.

It also leaves you a lot closer to nice skills when we have the points to advance even further, like there's Elemental Adaption for 85% resists and even more aura radius down there.

Templar area is certainly more beneficial than just getting more % health.

Curerrenty reached merciless, although going to stay in cruel for a while and gein levels, only lvl 48 now. This build basically gets you through cruel without problems regardless of what gear you have.

Actually it's 6*8 % + 3*12 %.
The end points of each branch are 12 %.
So you're at 84 %.

Just saying. ;)

Imho it comes down to:
If 84 % is more than 62 % + 30 base HP.
If you got enough mana allready to skip the 44 % ES.
Do you need the 10 % all resist or are you capped anyway and do you have enought STR to wear your gems?

=
More health? Anytime.
More resist, ES, Armor, Lifereg, less health and less STR? Depends.
Just started a witch to try out this build, as you said, minions early on SUCK MAJOR ASS. :P

But using firestorm/frostnova/ice blast thingie and etc is fine! Mana is never an issue...

I guess Ill go for exploding minion things early by going through the north part of the tree and then respec later once I close the tree loop. Since minions die so much, it should work I guess! lol

Ah yeah I forgot about the 12% nodes, makes things a bit less clear cut. But the armour component of Body & Soul + related nodes is quite valuable I think if you focus on armour on gear with only some ES for EB, and run Determination. The possibility of advancing to Elemental Adaption and being close to the top of all the awesome Marauder health nodes is also nice but since they're so far off in terms of getting enough points I dunno if it's worth factoring in.

So basically it comes down to (going Templar vs middle):

-22% health
+30 max health
+1% health regen
+44% ES
+44% armour
+10% resists
+20 INT
-50 STR
+Better future advancement (85% resists + Mara health)

I was thinking something like this myself. But the ES on the way is really wasted big time. I would, however, really baldy want the life regeneration. Because without any (as I have now) it's really a little annoying.

I decided to get double curse for now, though. And will probably get more life from the center afterwards. Maybe working Vitality into my build would help though. It would also make keeping the spectres up a little easier, which is the biggest annoyance with summoner builds imho.

Why not? 7 auras...

but it doesn't apply to your minions, right? and many aura are not useful for him, or does anger and wrath add their damage to his spells?
