[1.3 VIDEO GUIDE] PoE Beginners Build The Carpet Bomber, Fireball Witch EB, AA [HC/SC viable]

Good build, made to 71 in bloodlines and ripped to unfortunate gemcutters box. Oh well. Probably rerolling with same build :)
Question on the mana regeneration. From your gear you don't have any mana regeneration so just have the passives to support. What does your character sheet say you regen per second? I have all the same passives and I only regen 115/second and I don't think I can support AA with this and spamming fireballs.

You definitely need mana regen for the build, preferably on your rings/amulet if possible, but having more of it definitely helps (to a point; the more the merrier if using a Cloak of Defiance).

The other big factor is Discipline + Eldritch Battery. You are going to want to have a highly leveled Discipline. The other factor is turning your ES into mana. A larger mana pool corresponds to more mana regen/second even with the same Increased% to mana regen.
is it possible(with high enough mana regen) to use
in this build?
@LiftingNerdBro Hi,could you please post a end game guide using this build. i noticed all you had of the skill tree for end game. also i noticed that my mana regen is self sufficient without using clarity and discipline gem skills. do those get replaced in endgame? anything will help out, thanks.

First of all I like to thank the OP for writing a great guide. I am using this build and having fun. This build will give me what I was trying to do unsuccessfully on my own.

I know that I will need help though in making the transition to cruel. I will first show my stats then post my current build and gear. My character's level is 36.

Life 905
Mana 518
Energy Shield 243

Fire 42
Cold 51
Lightning 28

Build

Gear
Spoiler

Now I know that my resistances are low. The reason that I need help is that with a build like the Ground Slam Marauder all I would need would be life and resistance on gear. But with this build stats like dex and strength are important.

Does this mean that early on I use the nodes that raise strength and dex? Then when I start getting better gear with dex and maybe any strength that is needed spec out of those nodes. If yes then it would be like a normal life type of build where I would have life and resists on gear and could use blue crafting gear to get what I want out of it.

Next question, do I use the masters to put mods on gear in the early game or wait till later? I wouldn't want to waste currency using a master when it would be better crafting what I need. Reason I ask this question is because I have that other chain belt called Cataclysm Snare that Tora might be able to add ligtning resistance to it. if it would be better to wait till later on to use the masters than I need to know that.

Yep. It is a good idea to get those nodes early if you need them to sustain some of your gems. GMP/LMP in particular requires a lot of Dex. You can spec out of these nodes if you get enough stats on gear, an Atziri's Foible, or generally done the math to make sure everything fits. Excess Strength stats can benefit your Health Pool (but by a very small margin) while excess Dexterity isn't that necessary for the build.

You are going to want Life and Resists on your gear. You may not need a Purity of Fire aura (I don't use it myself), but you want gear with high life/resists, if possible.

It can be a very good idea to trade for some of the things you need through something like poe.trade. It may not be worth it to master craft anything if you are going to update your gear as you move through the game. I know when I leveled, I swapped gear as new pieces came by.

If you don't want to trade, then it may just come down to finding better loot. Good luck :)

Masters are sill limited by the Suffixes and Prefixes of items. A rare (yellow) item can't have more than 3 Prefixes and 3 Suffixes, nor can it have a duplicate Prefix/Suffix that the item already has. You cannot actually add another Lightning Resistance to that belt because there's already a Lightning Resistance mod on it.

Thank you for your reply Laxaria I will use your information because basically I was thinking that what you said would be the right thing to do but I had to be certain.

Crit variant of the build for higher dps and better late-game:

http://poeurl.com/y8oQVYd

This skill tree utilizes 3 extra power power charges. That means that with Power charge on crit we will be able to sustain 6 power charges all the time for a 300% increased critical strike chance. Additionally we pick up the skillnode that grants us 4% spell damage per power charges for a total of 24% extra spell damage.

For this tree we still pick up the AoE skill nodes and notables, but we also pick up some additional crit chance skill nodes and such.

I'm using this crit variant of the build, i'm lvl 66 and I never had a power charge. I guess u have to use Power Charge On Critical support skill, what should it replace or u need a 6L item, is there any other way?

Can someone explain how can I get power charges with this build?

Yes you will need to use the power charge on crit to get power charges.

I would assume that it might be Fire penetration because your crits should be able to give you more overall damage than fire penetration. But again it is my guess due to the fact that if you have a five slot item fire penetration is one that you would leave out.

Would someone else confirm my assumption.
