An alternative way to generate Power Charges is something like Herald of Thunder - Curse on Hit - Assassin's Mark. IF you're killing constantly enough this could give you a steady stream. An alternative could also be a 4Link set-up for generating Power Charges (for example, something like CwDT + PCoC + Ice Spear).

I really can't say anything about the armor. But I will say that there is a good chance that Concentrated Effect will beat Faster Casting. Because Concentrated Effect gives you a boost to your damage as well as boosting the damage of your crits. Whereas Faster Casting is just increasing attack speed. Spell Echo should be enough to handle you cast speed.

what do you think about using Fork with Fireball?
the set would be Fireball + LMP + Fire Penetration + Spell Echo + Concentrated Effect + Fork

Been following this build as a newbie and must say it is excellent but because I don't have all gems yet I am running with Fireball, Lesser Multiples and Fire Pen. Also I am using Firestorm with Increased Burning Damage. Also I use Fire Trap which is awesome for opening guarded chests - just lay down 4 and open and most times they are all insta dead. So with Firestorm I use all the time to clear large packs and normally only use Fireball for bosses or emergency. I can only run 2 auras Clarity and Purity of Fire because I don't have Reduced Mana yet. Even so I can spam any spell and not run out. One other thing is I use Zombies with extra health rather than skellies. I rather there be no time limit on any helpers like skellies have.

Now my main question is why do you use Skeletons rather than Zombies? I see your support gems are totem so does the totem cast the skellies for you at a faster rate, if so then using skels makes sense as they are 6 versus 3. Do skels hold agro, do as much damage and have similar health as zombies?

The other thing for me is, is using Firestorm with Increased Burning Damage a waste? I mean I don't have a Chance to Ignite gem socketed with it - should I link that as well? I am thinking Burning means they have to be ignited first am I right there? Or does it just apply to fire?

I would love to 4 socket Ignite, Fire Trap, Firestorm and Burning. Apart from that awesome passive tree which really makes this build work so well. I personally think gems can be a bit flexible for lower levels at least.

Last my helm only great for resistances and Wand I got off that very first boss.





Edit : I just did the 4 socket Ignite, Fire Trap, Firestorm and Burning. Talk about awesome power, I can run like mad through maps now spamming Firestorm nonstop only pausing briefly for bosses. Highly recommended.

what to do if you find a 6 link armor ? add power charge gem and change to crit build ? or which gem is the best?

There are 2 ways of gaining power charges reliably with this build that I like. The first and most reliable is a 5 or 6 link with power charge on crit of course. The second one is: curse on hit, herald of thunder, assassins mark :)
