Cheap, Tanky, DPSy: Summon Raging Spirit [not updated for 1.3+]

Hi mate, i wanted to play some srs and found your build so i decided to give it a try.

So far it has been amazing, just one question how do you think this will add to the build ?

I think I have it in the DPS Comparison section in FAQ. It's ok but not as good as +2 fire.

Not sure how you calculated, but in my FAQ section I calculated about 18k alts + 60 regals to get +1 +2. In standard it's cheaper to buy +3 and 6L than to +3 a 6L.



I took the data from there:

I removed all rolls over item level and supposed that the probability was redistributed among other rolls. This leads to around 12k alts and 50 regals on a very low level staff (55).
However it's hard to find a low level 6l.
Depending on the staff level and the currencies exchange rate, it might sometimes be better to regal any +2 and +1 than regal only the +1s.

In rampage atm 6l and +3 both sell for around 10ex. But there are only very few to buy. Some are not even good cause you won't be able to benchcraft them.
Doing +3 will cost between 20 and 40ex, doing 6l will cost around 1000fus + 300 jew so around 20ex.
So yeah doing links on a +3 is probably better.

However it's kinda nice to just put alts/regal once in a while and keep using the staff. Probably not the best idea long term though.

I Need to save more currencies! At least my 5l +1 is doing the work (kinda) and i finally got a real chest piece (tabula was pretty fun low level though).
Does Spell totem - arc - curse on hit - elemental weakness actually work? I mean, is the totem'd arc applying the curse?

It shouldnt be...unless something is just wrong on my end. Tried it with my 3-4x curses setup and no curses were ever applied to monsters. ~_~
Totem/minions don't work with curse on hit. Sadly :/. Tested it and it's written in wiki too.

I've been looking at the build more closely now that i'm getting a bit higher in levels.

For the same amount of points, if you :
- remove barbarism (4 points trek) and 1 6% life node, or other life nodes for 5 points
- stop at shaper and go to exceptional performances through reflexes
- remove the 2 +30 dex nodes
- get charisma
You can then put clarity on mana and not life and put in in your helmet with the other auras (i think it works, not 100% sure about the numbers).

So you loose a bit of hp (half back cause you don't put clarity on health), a bit of res and some strength (useless?), but you gain an aura boost for all auras, a bunch of evasion and 2 slots.

What do you think about that? Is there any drawback i don't see? Is evasion really totally useless?

Seems way more flexible to me relating to dex, so more gear options and maybe an easy immortal call combo (with 1 unset) or more chaos res.

I get so wrecked by chaos res atm and it's hard to cap resist and get dex + mana regen + flat mana on gear...

Or if you wanna keep clarity on health you could also add one purity aura or vitality.

Yay matrix is here! ;o After making theme had only 1 answer on this - Had a low life witch with Dual(triple lately) Storm call Witch... But now when shock nerfed not sure but think shes gonna be weaker(it was 1 time 30 2 time 60% and 3 - 90% ... with enough crit & shock chance that probably stacked fast enough... but now... =\ ) + that passive skill tree changes =_= ... Well anyways shud i stick to previous build or flame-ice most dps now? or even shockwave-etheral-raging spirit?

Ppl said raging and shockwave but dont like shockwave and decided to stick with this build but... Im not sure just greedy but wanna go low life with wonder traps... Pretty much like this CI build u offered - =But ill go +1 curse 4 points instead of CI ... Oh ye and btw u shud probab includ +30 dex(espec dex Haste require very much of it ;( ) And probab str... So will i do ok if i play safe like casting totem and skulls from safe? Is low life 100% rariti (no use of pain attunement y? :( ) worth it? I mean ill have to play quite more safier and as a result slower and still ill die more =_= Or dat build will do until some lvl of maps? Oh yeah also i wanna do to totem do curse on hit thing (double curse with 5 link) also was thinking to wear soulmantle to have 1 additional totem to cast flame skulls with me... but not sure casting 2 totems takes time... + taking curse... i mean ill cast SRS myself + totem arc + totem with another srs hmmm? whadyu think guys ;o ... Oh yeah and mana bottles Wont help Cuz with auras im gonna have very low max mana y? ;(

I'm glad you're thinking about this for yourself.

Well it's actually 44% max life 144%->100% with your suggestion. My base max life was something like 1650, but this would be up to 1850 with life on armor/gloves/boots. With 144% and clarity on life I get 1650*2.44-500=3526 life. With 100% and clarity on mana I get 1650*2=3300 life. So the loss is 220 life with mediocre life on gear, and it would only be larger with more life on gear. I also believe that with clarity on mana you would actually find it harder to get enough unreserved mana to cast properly.

On pages 20-25 Madcow and I were discussing trees with Charisma, but those didn't take double curse or Death Attunement. The goal of my tree is to get enough survivability to be comfortable at L78 maps and Atziri, and after that point get as much DPS as possible.

Your point about gear is moot. The L95 tree is supposed to be end-game. I.e. only to be used once you have enough gear/skill points. I include a leveling tree that is very easy on gear because it uses eldritch battery, and cwdt. The leveling tree is strong enough to do L78 maps too.

Hey guys. I am level 87 currently, and am still using EB with the EB passives. I happened to create this last night:



Is this as good as it seems for this particular build? My current helm has a lot of armor/resists/life, but I feel like the synergy here ups my overall survivability more than almost any other helm would. Anyone have any thoughts? My resists are still maxed with this helm, and I am using Cloak of Defiance as well.
