Trying to figure out how you run without lifeleech, my tooltip is just shy of 4k with cybil's and rathpith, if I added faster proj 20/20 it would be far higher but I feel like without LL my survivability is nil. Running a high block/spell block incinerate build with IR + MoM + EB, Grace, Haste, Clarity + Tempest and AA

You say that Added Chaos is better than Fire penetration which is fine, but is Faster Cast better than Fire Penetration? It isn't just 35% increase in damage, that is just on the fairly rare 0% fire resist mobs. Just about every blue or better mob is going to have 50% or better Fire resist. I find I do about double the fire damage on average blue or better mobs. You add all of your added cast speed and you find your Faster Cast gem isn't nearly as huge as you might think.

AA eats the small reflect hits, and cybil's gives you around 300 hp per sec with his setup (13+ casts per sec x 5 shots).

In the updated version I think he also has 1% leech on a few pieces of gear, but I've been running one of these for a while and cybil's gets it done all by it's self.

Love the build concept, pretty sure this will be my build in the upcoming Beyond league!

Just hope they won't skewer anything making it less viable.

Max Incinerate stacks in 0.8seconds is a huge benefit of Faster Casting/Spell Echo

Added Lightning means you only half benefit from Fire Penetration, half your damage is not fire.

Added Lightning benefits from Faster Casting, more damage.

More stacks = Less standing still to deal damage since you are more free to move and re-position without completely losing damage. Useful for killing bosses, something this build does best.

Fire Penetration only really contests with Added Lightning, Faster Casting is extremely valuable with Spell Echo. It's like Multistrike without Faster Attacks, it sucks and makes no sense not to use it.

I've tested all the gems mentioned before during all three Atziri bosses in the Apex, the setup I have is definitely the most effective for a number of reasons.

Best of luck man, I'll revisit this guide and the RF version when the new passive tree is released. I doubt much will change for this build, the RF version is more likely to change though with %max resists being a sensitive topic regarding balance. Thanks for the kind words :)

I couldnt wait, so i respecced my former summoner :) (lvl 85)


This is my current gear:




I threw together some stuff, also tried using a cybils as that'll be more realistic in the first week. Played around with 4 and 5l, dps-loss wasnt bad at all, main difference seemed to be ramp-up time.

Tried a 68 map, slaughtered it and went to rare 75's. Did double merv Necropolis rare map a few min ago.

All in all, having a blast :)

Having some survivability issues, but that aint weird considering the fact that im still wearing a tabula, and have sub-optimal hp at gear (currently 4,3k hp). Also having trouble keeping AA up at a lower level, so i'll have to work on that.

Loving the build, I need to smooth out some minor issues and it'll be even better :)
