Hum I have a question : if I have say 100% more crit chance from the gem, does it make the second form have 700% increased crit chance, or 600% of the base crit chance with already 100% more crit ?
If the first is correct then yes, you are right it's waste to use the crit chance gem, and I will have learned something new :D

So I am finally home to check it out myself. From what I have seen LMP, Ice Spear, PC is the way to go. Now the question is if you even wanna 4link it instead of your auras, I think its not worth it though. Keeping up the charges is pretty easy with a low level gem already, should be a cake walk with a 20% quality one that gives you 70% procc chance.

The biggest problem that I encountered is the range Ice Spear needs to be fired from though, but I guess one simply has to get used to it.

What I think though, is that the points your safe thanks to this support gem should be invested into cast speed. You do so much shit now (casting totems, curses, zombies, traps, ice spear) that it would really pay off if all that stuff happens a little but faster.

But then again, there are barely any cast speed nodes in the tree.

Questions:
1/ How do you afford 151 Dex for lvl 20 bear trap?
2/ I'm currently lvl 80 and running spork totem + arc as main attack. The my totem is getting insta-killed by a pack of spell caster skeletons. Is dual totem gonna clear them fast enough for me to shotgun the necromancer? Have you had any problem at all with that kind of mob pack when you were around my lvl?

onyx + maligaros are already 50 dex. 100 dex is easy to get from the tree.

Have you tried pierce instead of fork? It doesnt reduce damage and with q and max lvl has about 70% pierce and in big groups it pierces or sport can't pierce?

I wonder if this build would work with Ice Spear instead, pick up the frost talents instead of lightning, and follow same general build?

I tried searching through this thread with google so I thought I'd ask, why is faster casting linked to the curses? Wouldn't the curses benefit more from say increased area of effect?

The less time it takes to cast a curse the more mobile you are. Increased AoE doesnt really make sense to link since the area of level 20 curses is pretty damn huge already.

Planning on going single totem with spark and ice spear with power charge link
